Milfe Dacula, formerly known as sexy actress Klaudia Koronel, definitely had her whole life set out for the good ever since she finished her college degree in New Era University last March 2005. Klaudia gets another blessing this 2009, her forthcoming wedding with Andy Zhang, whom she met on the Internet.
The Atlanta, Georgia-based Andy is a 43-year old Chinese citizen who works as an Information Technology consultant and investor who has businesses here. Through the Internet, he and Klaudia got to know each other though Klaudia admitted that she was less than interested when she saw Andy's picture on the Internet. Besides, Klaudia was also focused on managing an online business called mabuhaycity.com for OFWs.
When the two finally met in person, however, it was love at first sight, Klaudia said.
Since then the two have been inseparable. In December 2005, Klaudia introduced Andy to her family. Two months later, she met Andy's family. Last December 2008, Andy spent Christmas and New Year in the country and is set to wed Klaudia on August 28 at an Iglesia ni Cristo ceremony here.
LIVE AT STARTALK. Klaudia guested yesterday, January 24, on Startalk to reveal all the details concerning her husband-to-be Andy. But for now, what's new with Klaudia's business mabuhaycity.com?
"Fiancé ko kasi, IT consultant siya," explained Klaudia. "So habang pag nagmi-meet kami every two months, e, medyo naiinip ako at namamasyal ako. So, marami akong nami-meet na OFW. So alam ko nagiging buhay nila at lungkot nila. Alam ko mga stories nila, so gumawa ako ng website para sa OFW para makapag-communicate sa family nila kasi medyo mahal ang pagtawag. Sa website namin, puwede sila mag-send audio [message] nang libre..."
Before she could explain further, Lolit Solis asked, "Teka muna, nakatapos ka ng college, di ba?"
"Opo, noong 2005 po," answered Klaudia. "Computer Science po ang tinapos ko."
Lolit remarked, "Kaya niya yata tinalikuran [ang showbiz], kasi si Klaudia noon kilalang sex symbol. Kaya niya tinalikuran ang pelikula [para] makapag-aral."
Klaudia proceeded to explain why she turned to studying. "Siyempre na-experience ko din na nagkaroon din ako ng mga boyfriend na nilait din siyempre ako, na wala daw akong education. So, ginawa ko po naman yun [pag aral] para may ma-harvest ako."
Does Andy know about Klaudia's past?
"Alam niya lahat," revealed Klaudia. "Pero noong nagkakilala kami, e, hindi niya alam na artista ako. So, sinabi ko lang sa kanya na panoorin niya na lang ako sa show sa kabila. Siyempre, pinanood ko din siya ng movies ko."
She quipped, "Pero pag may palabas na sexy, pinu-[fast] forward ko po 'yon."
Does Andy accept that Klaudia's former career?
"Sabi niya na huwag ko daw ikahiya dahil ang trabaho ko daw ay professional," smiled Klaudia. "Sa United States naman, open-minded mga tao."
Klaudia is a follower of Iglesia Ni Cristo. Is Andy willing to convert for her?
"Siyempre po noong umpisa ay sinabi ko na sa kanya na ito ang religion ko," related Klaudia. "Hindi magiging tayo kung hindi ka magpapa-convert. So, pumayag po siya. Sa kalagitnaan din po ay huminto siya dahil IT Consultant, so marami din kaming problema't away hanggang sa huminto na siya... Pero pinagsikapan naman niya, so nag-resign po siya sa work para magampanan niya ang pag-convert sa INC."
Going out with Andy has been an enjoyable experience for Klaudia. Joey de Leon commented that her being with him enabled her to go more places.
"Middle East na lang yata ang hindi ko pa napupuntahan," revealed Klaudia. "Europe, America, Australia, Canada, at buong Asia. Pero dahil din naman sa work niya. Every time na may project siya, e, ini-invite niya ako."
RAGS TO RICHES. Butch Francisco said that Klaudia started out so poor that she had to literally live on a highway island back then.
"Siyempre muna, sa province, sa sakahan, tapos dito sa Maynila, e, sa squatter," a teary-eyed Klaudia said. "And then, nakikita na kami sa mga building na ginagawa ng papa ko at sa overpass. Nade-demolish din kami..."
At this point, Klaudia's tears were already noticeable. "Hindi ko pa naman din nakakalimutan ang nakaraan ko..."
Is she helping her parents right now?
"Opo,"she smiled. "Hindi na po sila made-demolish."
MARRIAGE PLANS. Klaudia's going to get married this August 28. Has she made plans for the wedding?
"Travel theme po ang gagawin ko sa reception," revealed Klaudia. "Ang mga ninong siyempre si [former] Mayor [Mel] Mathay. Mga abay ko, e, mga alaga ni Tita A [Cornelia "Angge" Lim]." Then looking at Joey de Leon and Lolit Solis, she smiled and added, "Siyempre kung papayag din po kayo."
Klaudia also called out to Seiko big boss Robbie Tan to be one of the ninongs. "Kanina din po tinext ko si Ara Mina na sana nasa abay ko."
So where would the wedding take place?
"Dito," Klaudia said. "Yung family niya [Andy], uuwi dito. Yung parents niya at kapatid niya. Gusto ko kasi sa Philippines dahil dito ang family ko at friends ko."
For the record, Andy is still single and he has no children. When asked how many kids he and Klaudia would want to have, Klaudia smiled, "Tatlo lang. Lagi kasi akong kinakausap ng mom niya na bigyan ko siya ng apo."
MESSAGE TO HER LOVE. "Sorry dahil siguro naging masyado akong strong kasi ayaw ko na magkamali ulit sa buhay," began Klaudia. "Ayoko na sundin lang ang sinasabi mo at sinasabi ng ibang tao. Gusto ko kasi, lahat tama...dapat respetuhin mo lahat ng nakaraan ko at mga taong nakapaligid sa akin... I'm proud of you na ipinakita mo sa akin lahat yun. Alam ko na muntik na tayong magkahiwalay, pero dahil sa pag-ibig, lahat yun nagpatuloy."
