Mark Anthony Fernandez was once a guest on Showbiz Central's "Don't Lie to Me" segment. Yesterday, March 1, he was there again and this time John "Sweet" Lapus's questions revolved around Mark's mom Alma Moreno and her recent marriage, his own marital life, and issues about him and his Luna Mystika co-star Heart Evangelista.
Strapped to the lie-detector machine, Mark looked confident that he could breeze through the segment without worry. But the first question already proved difficult to handle.
John asked if Mark's wife, Melissa Fernandez, ever became jealous of Mark's team-up with Heart Evangelista.
"No," answered Mark. John noted that Mark's heartbeat turned quite erratic and the lie detector came up with "Lie." After John did his dance number, Mark smiled and explained, "Sa tingin ko, kaya ganoon yung sagot ko, e, dahil masyadong convincing ang mga director namin. Nagagawa nilang i-convince ang mga manonood sa amin ni Heart."
The next question was related to an earlier interview by Mo Twister with Heart Evangelista. "Mark, kung sakali ba na sumagi ba isip mo, e, kung ikaw ay binata ay popormahan mo sana si Heart?" (Click here to read related article.)
"Yes," answered Mark. The machine agreed that his answer was "Truth."
Third question: "Sa isang interview, sinabi mo na wala kang balak na magkaanak ng misis mo. Ito ba ay dahil sa ngayon, e, mayroon kayong marital issues?"
Mark sighed and softly answered, "Yes."
"Truth," the machine turned out. Mark explained: "Gusto ko lang ihambing sa tanong na kailangan muna mag-ipon, mag-family planning bago ulit magkaroon ng baby. Part lang ng relationship ang ganoon. Nagkataon na nagkaroon ng kaunting problema. Pero magkasama pa rin kami ni Misis."
The last question John asked was: "Ngayon na bumulaga na ang balitang ikinasal na ang mommy mo [Alma Moreno], kung ikaw ang tatanungin, tanggap mo ba nang buong-buo ang muling pagpakasal ng mommy mo sa Marawi mayor?"
Grinning, Mark answered, "Yes," meaning he accepted his mom's decision to marry again. The machine gave the result as "Truth" and Mark, still smiling, told John that everything was okay with him.
"Noong New Year na-meet ko siya. Boto ako sa kanya, kasi single pa siya up to the time na nagpakasal kay Mama. Buo ang hangarin niya at totoo siya," Mark said.
