John "Sweet" Lapus—who popularized the Kris Anino character in the live stand-up comedy circuit—will proudly introduce Tweetums at his anniversary concert on May 15 and 16.

John "Sweet" Lapus is gearing up for his anniversary show, John Lapus is Sweet 16, to be held on May 15 and 16 at the Teatrino Promenade in Greenhills, San Juan.

The show's highlights, as revealed by John himself, include a swimsuit showdown with Katrina Halili and a sexy number with first Survivor Philippines winner, JC Tiuseco.

John will also introduce for the first time in public his newest character named Tweetums. "She's not a girl but not yet a woman. She is sweet but very naughty," John wrote to PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) in a text message.

Any production number involving John, of course, would not be complete without his trademark body-tossing, daredevil dance stunts popularly known in the entertainment circuit as the "buwis buhay" dance number.

Complementing John in his numbers will be the Drag-Ons and the Snaps dancers.

PARENTAL GUIDANCE. John issued a reminder that the content of the jokes—which is expected in any live comedy show—may be inappropriate for kids.

"I understand that I have kiddie fans because of my wholesome 'sweet' image in Showbiz Central. May MTRCB kasi sa TV. But I am much naughtier and brutally frank in my stand-up shows," informed John as a matter of fact.

And so, parents who will bring their kids to the show are notified in advance by John, who playfully enthused, "Sa mga magpipilit na ipasok ang mga kids, walang sisihan. Hahaha!"

John Lapus is Sweet 16 will be directed by Sweet's good friend, Philip Lazaro.
