'Pag destiny, hindi mo na alam what will happen. Pero you cannot fight destiny, wala kang laban. Kung tatakbo man ako, second term as governor of Batangas," says actress-politician Vilma Santos.

One part of Vilma: A Woman For All Seasons will tackle Vilma Santos's life as a wife to National Economic Development Authority chief and former Senator Ralph Recto and mother to sons Luis Manzano and Ryan Christian Recto.

The press asked about her husband's political plans for 2010 elections and she revealed, "Nothing is final pero ang alam ko, tatakbo siya uli as senator."

How about her own political plans?

Ate Vi denied that she would run for vice president of the Philippines since her attention is focused on Batangas, where she is currently serving her first term as governor.

"Kung tatakbo man ako uli, another term as governor, but definitely not as vice president," she declared.

What could make her change her mind about running for the vice presidency?

BALANCING ACT. How does she balance her time as a mother to her family and a mother to her constituents in Batangas?

Yun yung gabay natin, yun yung adrenaline natin. I don't know kung maniniwala kayo, pero hanggang ngayon, when we check up on each other everyday, before we say goodbye, we always say 'I love you,'" she said.

How does she describe herself as a mother? "I'm a liberated mom. Pero when it comes to those kinds of issues, I don't meddle, I don't impose. Let them enjoy life kasi hindi na sila babalik d'yan. May time na kaibigan ako, may time na kakutsaba ako, may time na nanay ako."

Vilma fondly pointed out that she and Ralph have been together for 24 years. They were a couple for seven years before they got married in 1992. When asked to share tips on how she has maintained their stable relationship, she pointed out:

"You have to give time and you have to love yourself. Totoo 'yan. That's one thing I learned, even in relationships.

"Mas una ang respeto kaysa love. Once you respect your partner, everything follows. It's respect first before love. If you respect your partner, tanggap mo siya for what he is and at the same time, you will love him for what he is."

VILMANIANS VERSUS NORANIANS. During the recent Star Awards for Movies, some heckling went on between the Vilmanians and the Noranians but Ate Vi personally made sure that her fans did not make a big deal out of it.

Ate Vi remains grateful to her all fans for being very supportive of her through the years. In fact, she proudly mentioned that Vilmanians have showed their concern to her constituents in Batangas by sending computers as well as school supplies.

ON ANGEL LOCSIN. During the presscon proper, someone asked about her "daughter-in-law" and Vilma immediately named the person as Angel Locsin. Does she really think of Angel as her daughter-in-law already?

If they're doing good, I'm happy for them. Angel is such a nice lady, alam kong mahal din niya ang anak ko pero when it comes to getting married, hindi naman naming napapag-usapan yun. But sometimes we get together and I can see that they're happy," she said.
