"Okay kami [ni Sam]. At least, wala na kami sa silent war namin," Anne Curtis told PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and other entertainment reporters who were invited to visit her photo shoot with former boyfriend Sam Milby earlier today, March 8, at ABS-CBN Compound in Quezon City. The activity was for the publicity photos of their first movie together titled Babe, I Love You.
Anne admitted that she and Sam sometimes have some "tampuhan," but it doesn't usually last long because they talk about it right away. "Usually, simpleng mali ang pagkakasabi," she added about the usual cause of their little misunderstandings.
Sam, who was seated beside Anne, agreed by saying, "Yeah, we have a few days when we could be cat and dog."
When asked who is more sensitive between them, Sam looked at Anne as his reply.
But Anne quickly defended herself. "Oo, siyempre, I'm just a girl, hindi naman maiiwasan. I mean, hindi talaga maiiwasan kasi ganyan naman talaga ang mga babae. Lalo na kung natiyempuhan mo akong nagpi-PMS [pre-menstrual syndrome], hindi mo talaga maiiwasang maging sensitive. Alam mo naman, may days na napaka-snappy ko minsan."
She also mentioned that their little disagreements affect their relationship as co-actors sometimes. Anne explained, "Kasi, minsan kahit sa work, nagiging professional. Siguro with us, siguro we take our time talaga. Hindi namin pipiliting magkaayos kami porke't lang may movie. Hanggang sa hindi pa kami ready talaga, hindi kami mag-uusap."
"TAMPUHAN" IS GOOD FOR THE MOVIE. The former couple mentioned that their recent "silent war" also had a positive effect on their job.
"'Yong mga days na 'yon, it really worked," said Sam.
Anne, on the other hand, said, "Tsumamba kasi kung kelan kami magkaaway or nagkatampuhan, 'yon 'yong mga eksenang nagsisigawan kami. So, nag-work. Si Direk [Mae Czarina Cruz] parang, 'Good take.'"
Sam seconded by saying, "Pero mabuti naman it worked for us dito sa movie. You know, I guess you can see na really, really, okay kami. Enjoy talaga. You know what, kilig ang mga scene."
Anne thinks that maybe being transparent with each other and with the public sometimes leads them to this kind of "tampuhan."
She stressed, "'Yon lang siguro ang mistake namin sa pagiging transparent namin. Napaka-transparent kasi, that's why maraming issues. Kasi kapag magkaaway, magkaaway. Kapag magkabati, sobra namang magkakulitan."
Since they're both having fun doing the movie together, Anne and Sam were asked if there could be a chance for them to give their romantic relationship a second chance.
"It's a day by day thing. Hindi namin pinag-uusapan. Ang maganda lang, clean slate," Anne replied.
While Sam admitted, "Kahit dati, e, lagi kong sinasabi [open ako doon]. Kahit dati lagi kong sinasabi na open ang mga doors ko."
