Veteran actor Joonee Gamboa reportedly lost P200,000 worth of electronic devices to suspected Bukas-Kotse Gang members in Mandaluyong City last night, March 8.
According to GMA News, Gamboa parked his vehicle in a dark vacant lot in Wack Wack Road to have dinner at a nearby steakhouse. When Gamboa returned to his car a couple of minutes later, he was shocked to discover that the left rear window of his vehicle had been shattered. Aside from the laptop and cameras, the robbers also took away other accessories from the backseat.
Witnesses told the investigating police that they saw another vehicle parked beside the actor's car. Bystanders added that the car supposedly used by the suspects repeatedly revved up to create noise, a tactic perhaps to drown out the shattering glass window.
Despite mounting complaints filed by victims since last year, authorities are still hard pressed to curtail the activities of the notorious Bukas-Kotse Gang. Gamboa was reportedly the latest victim of the crime group in the Wack Wack Road area after a similar incident was also recorded late last year.
Gamboa's recent TV projects include Totoy Bato and Ful Haus. His film credits include Ang Panday (2009) and Iskul Bukol: 20 Years After (2008).
