Eugene Domingo declares: "Ako ang pambansang mananamantala!"

Eugene Domingo wore an assymetrical Maxi Cinco gown during her solo press conference for her upcoming film Mamarazzi. The comedienne dubbed herself as the "Pambansang Mananamantala" for being given the chance to shoot intimate scenes with hot hunks in her previous movies.

"Ako ang pambansang mananamantala!" joked Eugene Domingo in her solo press conference held last night, July 26, at the Imperial Palace Suites in Quezon City. For the 50th anniversary of Regal Films, the comedienne will topbill the family comedy titled Mamarazzi, which will open in cinemas starting August 25.

In her launching film Kimmy Dora: Kambal sa Kiyeme, Uge (Eugene's nickname) was able to have a passionate kissing scene with Dingdong Dantes. In the film Here Comes the Bride, she had the chance to shoot a tender love scene with newcomer Tom Rodriguez.

Given the number of hunks that she has had intimate scenes with in the past, Uge jokingly pleaded, "Hayaan n'yo na akong mahalikan ng hunk kasi sa shooting ko lang naman yun nararanasan...sa ngayon. Ayoko naman magsalita ng tapos."

When asked about her intense kissing scene with Diether Ocampo here in Mamarazzi, she pointed out: "Kailangan naman kasi sa script. Mas maganda na sibasibin mo na kasi harmless naman ako. Pagkatapos ng pagsibasib, hanggan dun na lang yun."

She later explained the motivation of her character for suddenly kissing Diether's character so fiercely.

"Sabi kasi ni Direk [Joel Lamangan] na ang character ni Violy napakatagal na siyang diyeta kaya [nung nagkaroon ng pagkakataon], hindi ko na siya dineyeta—buffet na!"

In Mamarazzi, Uge plays Violy, a woman who desperately wants to have her own children. Her gay best friend (John "Sweet" Lapus) allows his boyfriend (Diether Ocampo) to become her sperm donor. She later has triplets, portrayed by Andi Eigenmann (who plays dual roles) and AJ Perez.

How would she differentiate Diet's kissing scene with Dingdong Dantes?

When asked to pick the guys whom she would like to have a kissing scene with in the future, Uge immediately answered that she would like to be given the chance to be paired with Piolo Pascual, Derek Ramsay, and any one of these three Brazilian hunks: Akihiro Sato, Fabio Ide or Daniel Matsunaga.

ON TURNING 40. At the start of the presscon, Uge received a birthday cake from her Regal family. Mother Lily Monteverde and her daughter Roselle Monteverde-Teo were both present that night at the mezzanine of Imperial Palace Suites.

As she blew out the candles, Uge told the matriarch of Regal: "Nag-wish ako for you, Mother, not for me." The comedienne wished that Regal will be able to last for another 50 years in showbiz.

Uge turned 40 years old last Friday, July 23, and she celebrated it in Hong Kong. The trip was actually a birthday gift for her from Eric Quizon, who tapped Uge for his own project. Uge was very pleased to have the chance to celebrate her birthday with the King of Comedy Dolphy, who was also in Hong Kong at that time with Zsa Zsa Padilla.

PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) asked Uge what realizations she had about reaching the age of 40.

She replied, "Totoo pala yung sinasabi nila...life begins at 40. Yung patience ko mas mahaba at yung appreciation mo about life mas malawak. Yung acceptance mo sa hindi mo kaya at yung acknowledgment mo sa kaya mo, mas makatotohanan. And that makes you happier.

"Parang mas bumata rin ang pakiramdam ko kasi ang katawan mo naman sumusunod sa utak mo. Kung ano ang kalagayan ng utak mo, ng state of mind mo, sumusunod ang katawan mo."
