Kantar Media-TNS National Household Ratings (Aug. 13-16): Noah leads ABS-CBN reign in primetime race

"Maalaala Mo Kaya" and "Rated K" rule weekend primetime.

ABS-CBN's Primetime Bida lineup continues to dominate weekday viewing, with Noah and Agua Bendita leading the pack.

According to the latest overnight ratings of Kantar Media/TNS among National households, the Kapamilya programs outperformed their competitors last Friday (August 13) and Monday (August 16).

Noah, Agua Bendita, and TV Patrol maintained their positions as the top three weekday primetime programs. Magkaribal and Momay also did very well, occupying the fourth to fifths slots on the dates mentioned.

The last episode of Rubi, which starred Angelica Panganiban, last Friday posted a rating of 27.8%, to tie with Magkaribal at fourth place. Rubi was replaced by the Cristine Reyes-starrer Kristine, which premiered last night, August 16. The pilot episode of Kristine generated a rating of 18.6% to grab the 8th spot.

Two Koreanovelas also made their debut yesterday: GMA-7's East of Eden and ABS-CBN's He's Beautiful. East of Eden took the 10th spot in the primetime race with 9.6%, while He's Beautiful placed 5th in the daytime race with 12.9%.

GMA-7's Eat Bulaga! was the No. 1 daytime program on August 16 with 15.9%, followed by ABS-CBN noontime shows Showtime and Pilipinas, Win Na Win!—on their new timeslots—with 14.6% and 13.6%, respectively.

Last August 13, Friday, it was the rerun of the movie Muro-Ami in Kapuso Movie Festival that took the lead in the daytime race. It was followed by Eat Bulaga! (16.6%), Rosalka (14.2%), Trudis Liit (13.9%), and the last episode of Midnight Phantom (13.4%).

WEEKEND VIEWING. The country's longest-running drama anthology, Maalaala Mo Kaya, kept its lead in the primetime race last Saturday, August 14, with 25.4%. It was followed by Elias Paniki (23.6%), Twist and Shout (22.7%), JejeMom (21.5%), and Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho (21.3%), to complete the Top 5. JejeMom is the new weekly sitcom of GMA-7 starring Eugene Domingo.

Eat Bulaga!, on the other hand, topped the Saturday daytime race with 19.9%. Trailing behind were Kapuso Movie Festival's Spirit of the Glass (17.8%), Wish Ko Lang! (15%), Pilipinas, Win Na Win! (13.8%), and Failon Ngayon (12.7%).

Korina Sanchez's magazine show Rated K was the top primetime program last Sunday, August 15, with 24.2%. Coming in second was Kap's Amazing Stories (23.9%), followed by Goin' Bulilit (22.1%), Pepito Manaloto (22%), and 24 Oras (19.7%).

Finally, the rerun of the John Lloyd Cruz-Sarah Geronimo movie You Changed My Life in Kapamilya Blockbusters topped the daytime race with 17.8%. Placing second was the boxing match between Nietes and Rodriguez in Laban ng Lahi (14.8%), while Kapuso Movie Festival's Ikaw Pa Rin (Bongga Ka Boy) and ASAP XV tied for third place with 14.6%. Completing the Top 5 are the making of In Your Eyes (12.5%) and The Buzz (11.6%).
