International singer and stage actress Lea Salonga announced that her planned movie with Aga Muhlach, which is set to start shooting in November, is not pushing through.
"Well, it's not gonna happen this November. I think he still has a movie to finish," Lea said during an interview at the Town and Country Wonder Women Awards yesterday, September 14, at White Space, Makati City.
Aga is still finishing Huling Sayaw, the movie's tentative title. It also stars Angel Locsin and is directed by Chito Roño.
Lea said the delay was due to a conflict of schedules and stressed that she was still willing to do the movie.
"I still wanna do it. Now, I think it's just a matter of when it's gonna happen," she said.
Lea and Aga worked together in the films, Bakit Labis Kitang Mahal (1992) and Sana Maulit Muli (1995).
Lea mentioned in a December 2008 interview with PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) that she was hoping to do a different movie with Aga. The 40-year-old actress said that she expects a more mature role — something that would suit her and Aga's age. (CLICK here to read related story).
ON CHARICE. On other hand, Lea was excited over Charice's appearance in the hit TV musical series, Glee.
"I saw the preview and it was incredibly funny so I can't wait to see the first episode," Lea said.
She added that because of her busy schedule, she only gets to watch her favorite TV shows after it has aired. "I download a copy and watch it online at my leisure."
Nevertheless, the multi-awarded singer expressed excitement for 18-year-old Charice Pempengco on her Glee stint, "I can't wait to see what she's gonna do."
Filipino international singing phenomenon Charice Pempengco plays the role of Sunshine Corazon, a foreign exchange student who will be Rachel's (Lea Michele) rival on Glee.
"It's great, right?" Lea said out loud.
