Although they're both in the same TV network, it looks like Mo Twister and JC de Vera do not really treat each other like "kapatid." JC is reportedly giving Mo the cold shoulder.
"JC and I, we don't talk, we don't say hi," Mo admits, when PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) asks him about the issue, after his hosting stint at the Ariel's Experts vs 100 event earlier, October 26, at Teatrino, Greenhills, in San Juan City.
However, the radio and TV host says he's clueless as to why JC is snubbing him. "Honestly, I don't know why. But, I think we can all assume na because of Rhian."
DJ Mo is currently being linked to Kapuso actress Rhian Ramos, who was paired with JC in the defunct TV series La Lola when he was still with GMA-7. Their onscreen relationship bloomed into a romantic relationship but concluded with a bitter ending.
At a press conference held last July, JC is quoted as saying, "Kung anuman ang nangyari sa amin [ni Rhian], i-set aside na lang natin at gawin na lang nating isang magandang learning experience na alam mo na ang gagawin mo, hindi mo na babalikan." (CLICK HERE to read related article.)
Rhian, on the other hand, admits that their separation was not good. In a separate interview, she relates, "Kasi pinili na lang namin hindi magkita, mag-usap, o makatrabaho ang isa't isa." (CLICK HERE to read related article.)
WILLING TO TALK TO JC. DJ Mo thinks that this should not affect the relationship he can build with JC since they are now part of one network. He says he also hopes he can clear this issue with JC soon.
That chance could have happened a few of days ago, but JC refused to have a photo op with Mo.
"I wanted to talk to him the other day. Pero noong lumapit si Jun Lalin [publicist of JC] para i-picture kami ni JC, I think sabi niya, ayaw niya. And then, he just walked away," Mo says.
He adds, "It will be nice to be on the same page with him, tutal binebenta natin ang TV5 as isang grupo—mula sa staff, sa bosses, sa artists, our teamwork, walang away, walang rivalry, hindi katulad ng ibang network.
"I hope that whether it be JC and I talking on our own or it's a station-initiated, a meet-and-greet or something will be nice. It's important to be friends with promising stars of TV5."
He reiterates, "I don't know why he's mad. It's something talaga na I can only assume na it might be about Rhian. I don't know what he knows. I don't know what he thinks he knows. Sana lang maayos ito."
APOLOGIZES TO JOHN LLOYD. Meanwhile, DJ Mo apologizes to John Lloyd Cruz for revealing that the Kapamilya star still calls Kapatid star Ruffa Gutierrez. Mo revealed this in an episode of TV5's Sunday entertainment talk show Paparazzi. (CLICK HERE to read related article.)
Ruffa and John Lloyd once had a "special relationship," before the latter entered a steady relationship with fellow Star Magic artist Shaina Magdayao.
"I'm sorry if this caused gulo sa buhay niya, sa relationship niya. Pero again, this is something na laglagan portion namin... Si Ruffa may masasabi siya tungkol kay Rhian, siyempre ang igaganti ko na lang ay Cesar Flores or John Lloyd Cruz. 'Tapos biglang lumaki na lang 'yan," says DJ Mo, referring to the actor and the Smartmatic president who were both linked to Ruffa.
He also stresses, "It's really not my intention to try to break up Shaina or John Lloyd. It's not my intention to make Ruffa and John Lloyd fight.
"It's more like, 'Sige, ilalaglag mo ako tungkol kay Rhian, ilalaglag din kita tungkol kay John Lloyd.' Kumagat na lang ang mga tao sa John Lloyd."
However, he is quick to clarify, "I'm sorry if he feels bad, but I'm not sorry for telling the truth.
"And I'm not sorry for getting revenge from Ruffa," Mo adds with a grin.
