Kim Chiu thanks Gerald Anderson's mother for continuing to be supportive of their tandem

After all the buzz saying Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson, of the famous Kimerald tandem, are no longer sweet on each other, the young commercially hot stars show a united front in public.

Kim Chiu was a luminous star in a Francis Libiran dress while Gerald Anderson was a dashing star in his Randy Ortiz suit when they made their appearance at the premiere of Till My Heartaches End last night, October 26, at SM Megamall.

Written and directed by Jose Javier Reyes, who is known to successfully blend commerce and artistry in his films, this latest Star Cinema movie has had two good news thus far: It has been graded B by the Cinema Evaluation Board and rated PG 13 by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board.

Of this, Gerald said to PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and other media present: "Sobra kaming natutuwa kasi nawala lahat ng pagod namin nung napanood namin, at sa outcome ng movie."

While watching the movie, Gerald's mother, Mommy Evangeline, was seen shedding tears. When Gerald learned about this, he said, "Ganun talaga ang mama ko, 100 percent supportive sa akin. Hindi ako nagulat na naging emotional siya, dun din ako nagmana sa kanya."

The young actor also took the chance to thank his mother publicly for defending him against detractors. "Siyempre, nanay ko yun. Hindi ako nagugulat na 'pinagtanggol niya ko, at ang laki ng pasasalamat ko sa kanya."

For her part, Kim also thanked Gerald's mother for the words of praise she gave about Kim's performance in the movie. "Tita, salamat at lagi kang nandiyan. Mag-ingat ka lagi."

Kim added: "Si Tita, supportive siya sa lahat ng ginagawa namin and lagi siyang nandiyan para sa amin. Kilala na niya kaming dalawa."

Gerald's mother—a small, attractive and feisty businesswoman—also hugged both Kim and Gerald, a move that touched the young stars. "Yung mommy ko, emotional talagang tao yun," Gerald commented. "Very happy siya tungkol sa outcome ng movie namin."

In addition, Gerald is nominated in two other categories in the same awards ceremony: Best Actor for Your Song Presents: Isla and Best Single Performance by an Actor for the Maalaala Mo Kaya episode titled "Lubid."

An obviously proud Kim said, "Sabi ko sa kanya, hakot awards na naman siya! Siyempre, makukuha niya lahat yun. Lalo na yung MMK niya, sobrang galing niya dun! Fan niya ako!"

The young star, who is said to have the most number of endorsement contracts among Star Magic talents currently, was generous in her praise of her handsome young co-star: "Masaya ako para sa kanya. Si Gerald kasi sobrang dedicated sa pag-arte."
