John Estrada and Priscilla Meirelles reveal details about their upcoming wedding

"When he [John] proposed to me, it was at a beach... I don't really need a big wedding... Basta ang family ko nandoon, yung mga friends ko nandoon, happy ako," says Priscilla Meirelles.

Showbiz couple John Estrada and Priscilla Meirelles are all set to exchange "I do's" on February 26, 2011. In an interview aired during the February 19 episode of Entertainment Live, the lovely couple revealed several details about their upcoming wedding.

Priscilla confided that it was hard for them to prepare since John's schedule was filled up by his hosting duties for the noontime show Happy Yippee Yehey!.

According to the bride-to-be, she has always wanted a beach wedding. She narrated, "When he [John] proposed to me, it was at a beach... I don't really need a big wedding...basta ang family ko nandoon, yung mga friends ko nandoon, happy ako."

Priscilla's family members and close friends shall be present on their wedding day.

The couple chose Thunderbird Resort in La Union as the venue for their solemn union. The invited guests received an invitation that looked like a scrapbook since it contained pre-nup photos of the couple.

Richard Gomez will serve as the best man while John's son, Yuan, will serve as the junior best man. Meanwhile, John's kids—Inah, Moira, and Kayla—will serve as bridesmaids.

According to John, the celebrities who will be part of the entourage include Lorna Tolentino, Randy Santiago, Ai-Ai Delas Alas, Anjo Yllana, Sharon Cuneta, Gabby Concepcion, and Lucy Torres-Gomez.

According to the couple's wedding coordinator, a distinct Brazilian-Filipino theme shall be very evident. The color motif will use purple and lime green, representing the merger of two cultures. Based on a Brazilian tradition, cookies called "casadiños" will be used for the wedding cake. Guests shall be served an international buffet, showcasing dishes from eight different countries.

The bridal dress is designed by Randy Ortiz. He described his creation by saying, "There's a lot of texture but the silhouette is super know, something that flatters her figure. It has a lot of crystals. The color combination is off-white and ivory."

Priscilla's brother, Luis Claudio Almelda Jr., recalled his first impression of John when they first met. "When I found out my sister was dating, I actually googled him and I found out a lot of funny stuff on the Internet. But when I met him, it was all wrong. It was all different in the Internet. And I realized...what I see in his eyes is that he loves her more than he loves himself."

The beauty queen's mother also gave her message in Brazilian, which was translated as follows: "The message I have for them is first be humble, respect each other, and love each other because this is what a marriage should be all about. I wish they love and respect each other so that they will have a successful family for the rest of their lives."

With their wedding day just a few days away, Priscilla gave this message to her husband-to-be: "John, this is a very important time...We're looking so forward to that. Let's make the most out of it. Love you. Relax."

For his part, John quipped: "I hope you show up. I'll see you there...let's get married."
