Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero has conceded defeat in his bid for vice presidency.
At a press conference early this morning, May 10, Chiz thanked his supporters for an unforgettable campaign trail for the past months.
“Naging malaking karangalan sa akin na makatrabaho lahat ng nakatrabaho at nakasama ko nitong nakaraang buwan kaugnay ng halalan na ito,” says Senator Chiz in an interview with GMA News.
As of 10 A.M., Chiz is fourth placer among the five VP candidates with a total of 4,854,232 partial and unofficial votes.
HONEYMOON TIME. Meanwhile, Chiz still has until 2019 to finish his term in the Senate.
But before returning to his senate duties, Chiz hopes to have some quality time with wife Heart Evangelista.
He says, “Looking forward to quieter times at mas maraming panahon sa pamilya.
“At siguro yung matagal na naudlot na honeymoon ay matutuloy na.”

In an Instagram post yesterday, Heart declared that she will always stand by her husband whom she calls “the most amazing man ever.”
The caption of her post reads, “Right before voting... he whispered 'thank you.' I smiled but really I almost cried!
