Yayo Aguila is happy Baron Geisler is undergoing rehab for his drinking problem

When she learned that Baron Geisler entered rehab for his drinking problem, Yayo Aguila (in photo) says, "I don't know what I should feel pero sa akin lang, para akong nakahinga kasi at least alam ng tao na yung pinaglaban ng anak ko ay totoo at may dahilan." In 2008, Yayo's daughter Patrizha Martinez filed an "act of lasciviousness" case against the actor.

On January 21, 2011, Baron met with members of the press to announce that he would be entering a 90-day rehabilitation program for his alcoholism.

This rehab program was part of the Professional Artists Managers Inc. (PAMI) demands in its decision on the harassment complaint filed by Cherry Pie Picache and her talent manager Ed Instrella last January 17. (CLICK HERE to read related article.)

To date, Baron has reached the two-month mark of his rehab program. In an interview with Korina Sanchez aired during the March 28 episode of TV Patrol, the actor talked about his behavior when he becomes intoxicated.

"Nagiging unmanageable [ako] tapos wala akong sinusunod na batas," said Baron.

"Kailangan kong ayusin ang 'Baron, the person.' I already feel like a victor but in order to become successful in life, it's the outside world, e. Yun ang totoong laban. You know, I surrendered na everything to God. God granted me the courage to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change things I can, accepting hardship as the pathway to peace."

YAYO AGUILA OPENS UP. Before Cherry Pie filed her complaint, other women have already filed cases against Baron.

One of them is Patrizha Martinez, daughter of William Martinez and Yayo Aguila. Patrizha filed an "acts of lasciviousness" case against Baron in April 2008. (CLICK HERE to read related article.)

Yesterday, March 29, Yayo Aguila gave her reaction to Baron's decision to enter rehab. She opened up during the press conference of Good Vibes held at the Lounge Bar on Tomas Morato, Quezon City.

"Actually, pinanood ko yun [TV Patrol report]. Nung una, nagulat nga ako kasi 'wow, may feature sa kanya.' Pinanood ko yun kasi I want to know what's going on with him. Kung tutuusin, hindi pa tapos ang kaso namin kasi we have a hearing this May.

Yayo said she is happy for Baron, her former housemate in Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition.

Nung napanood ko nga, natutuwa ako for him. Sa dami-dami ng attempts in the past ng mga tao, at least sa sarili niya, nagpunta na siya dun.

"On the way here, ikinuwento ko sa dalawang anak ko. Sabi ko, I don't know what I should feel, pero sa akin lang, para akong nakahinga kasi at least alam ng tao na yung pinaglaban ng anak ko ay totoo at may dahilan."

Yayo is also proud of her daughter Patrizha for speaking up about the incident as it spurred other women to open up as well.

Para she doesn't have to prove anything to anybody.

WILL IT BE EFFECTIVE? Does Yayo believe that this rehabilitation program will help Baron deal with his drinking problem?

We were once close, super close until this happened. Sa akin, I just wish him well. Kasi tao naman tayong lahat, nagkakamali," she said.

What is Patrizha's reaction when she learned that Baron entered rehab already?

Has Patrizha forgiven Baron already?

I believe we raised [our children] well.
