Coleen Garcia showed support for her Good Vibes co-stars Sam Concepcion and Enrique Gil by making an appearance at the premiere of Way Back Home last night, August 16, at SM Megamall.
Sam and Enrique were cast as leading men in this Star Cinema-produced film starring Kathryn Bernardo and Julia Montes.
While she and her colleagues are soon to bid the youth-oriented show Good Vibes goodbye, as it witnesses its last three weeks of airing, Coleen cannot help but feel nostalgic.
"Iba talaga yung feeling ko kasi first show ko yun, so talagang marami akong mami-miss.
"I learned so much from that show and from the people in that show," said Coleen, who looked stunning even in casual jeans and a simple gray cardigan.
She continued, "I really didn’t know anything about showbiz [and] about acting before I had Good Vibes kasi first show ko siya talaga, so dun ko lang natutunan lahat ng alam ko ngayon.
"I’m really gonna miss it."
RYAN BANG. Coleen expressed missing Ryan Bang, her former co-judge in ABS-CBN’s noontime program Showtime.
Coleen was voted out of the "hurado" roster on August 6 and has since then saw less of the Korean comedian.
The Coleen-Ryan tandem developed out of the show’s persistent teasing and just recently, Ryan admitted on entertainment news program Showbiz News Ngayon (SNN) that he indeed admires the pretty Coleen.
Asked by PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) for any update on Ryan, Coleen replied in between laughing and gushing, "Okay naman po siya. He still texts me and we talk naman.
"Nakaka-miss siya sobra. Iba pa rin yung nakikita mo siya every day kasi yung taping namin sa Good Vibes, once a week lang.
"Yung sa Showtime, dun lang ako nasanay na every day may work tapos kasama ko pa si Ryan.
"He made everything so much lighter and nakaka-miss talaga," stated Coleen.
When asked to clarify if Ryan is courting her, Coleen smiled and exclaimed, "Ay, naku! Hindi ko talaga alam dun!
"Akala ko lahat joke-joke lang! Tapos sinabi niya sa SNN [Showbiz New Ngayon] na nanliligaw daw siya.
"Wala akong alam dun! Hindi ko talaga alam. Siguro manhid ako!"
Does Ryan Bang stand a chance?
Coleen answered, "Sa ngayon po kasi kakapasok ko lang sa showbiz, so I wanna be stable muna in the industry bago po ako ma-distract.
"Ngayon, hindi pa talaga. Honestly, hindi pa... I have so much to work on."
So will she make Ryan wait then?
Coleen let out a chuckle and said, "Mag-antay siya!"
Although she is not allowed to be specific about her upcoming projects, Coleen mentioned that she is definitely working on them.
She is certain not to star in the Kapamilya network’s forthcoming teen-oriented program Growing Up because of her existing iced tea commercial project with Neil Coleta, who will appear in the said show with Way Back Home stars Julia Montes and Kathryn Bernardo.
Nonetheless, "bigger projects" are set for the Coleen and Neil in the future.
