Heart agrees that the contract signing was a timely year-ender because next year the actress expects her life to be on a roll. She welcomes the challenge and the new adventure.
"Yes, may panibago, yes. Magiging super busy ako because we’ll have Legacy for primetime in GMA and then may movie na ako with VIVA.
"So, from super relaxing, ito hectic uli. And it’s going to be exciting. I love to work. That’s all I want to do."
Her last projects consist of the now defunct GMA primetime soap Dwarfina and the remake of the film Temptation Island which came out July of this year.
What kept her busy after the said projects?
"Well, I’m going back to school din. So that’s something that’s been keeping me busy.
"I’ve been tutoring for the real thing so I don’t know how that’s gonna work but I’ll make it happen this time na ipagsama [sa] trabaho."
Heart relays that she is taking up one-on-one tutorials at present in order to prepare herself for actual classes at a university of her choice.
"Sa Dep-Ed [Department of Education] they have a special place there where you go; they’re getting me started. Siyempre nako-comma na yung brain ko sa Math and ganyan. So kailangan bago ko ma-face ang aking mga new classmates, pag sinabi, ’Spell this!,’ right away alam ko, you know?"
"Slowly I wanna get myself ready to have classmates, all these things... I’m also taking my time kasi I want to make sure kung ano yung course na gusto kong kunin."
When asked if her plans of pursuing a college program will happen this year, Heart informs, "Next year pa siguro kasi mahirap ipagsabay-sabay."
"It depends kasi with my schedule. Hindi naman ako nagmamadali pero constant yung one-on-one [tutorials] ko."
The remaining days of 2011 will give Heart time to think about what program she will take up.
While she is still undecided, she expresses, "It’s strange pero I love History. Ang naisip ko kasi dati gusto ko mag-doctor pero masyado naman akong nangangarap.
"Law is only three years, I heard. So even if I don’t finish in three years, at least, I could still say, I did law for one year!
"You never know. We’ll see."
While she eyes entering the De La Salle University, Heart is still keen on finding a school that would accommodate her schedule.
CHERISHED IDLE TIME. Heart says that the lull in her career for the past months was something she welcomed and cherished.
"I just enjoyed the time na na-free ako because hectic din naman ang schedule. With the soap opera alone, punong-puno na yung schedule namin.
"I like din na wala akong ginagawa na kasama ko yung aso ko... But it’s nice. I really needed that too.
"So at least now, I’m going to get really busy. I’ll be working almost everyday and I’ll be going to school between the days that I’m working. It gave me enough [time], you know? I’m so excited!"
