Drug charges against StarStruck alumni Vivo Ouano and Jeric Rizalado dismissed by DOJ

DOJ cites "lack of probable cause" in dismissing the case.

Starstruck Season 3 alumni Jeric Rizalado (above) and Vivo Ouano (bottom), together with two other accused, were declared innocent of drug-related charges, after they were arrested in a buy-bust operation last October 5.

Noong Oktubre 5 ay inaresto ang dalawang alumni ng Starstruck Season 3 na sina Vivo Ouano at Jeric Rizalado.

Arestado rin ang tatlo pa nilang kasamang sina Jojo Pangilinan, Joshua Cue, at Joseph Lacson.

Ito'y matapos silang mahulihan ng ilegal na droga sa isinagawang drug buy-bust operation ng Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Force (AIDSOTF). (CLICK HERE for related article.)

Matapos ang ilang linggong pag-iimbestiga ay napatunayang inosente ang apat sa mga inaresto, base sa 16-page resolution ng Department of Justice (DOJ) na nakuha ng ABS-CBN reporter na si Ina Reformina.

Hindi idinitalye sa ulat ni Reformina kung ano ang basehan ng pagpapawalang-sala sa kanila.

Pero ayon kay DOJ investigating prosecutor Assistant State Prosecutor Juan Pedro Navera, ang reklamo ay na-dismiss "due to lack of probable cause."

Samantala, inirekomenda naman ni Navera na maghain ng dalawang magkahiwalay na impormasyon sa korte laban kay Joseph Lacson, para sa pagbebenta ng bawal na gamot, partikular na ang phentermine at diazepam.

Ayon sa MedLineplus.com, ang phentermine ay isang "psychostimulant drug" na "chemically related to amphetamine."

Ang diazepam naman ay unang inilabas sa market bilang Valium.

Ang resolusyon, na inilabas noong Oktubre 26, ay ire-review pa ni Justice Secretary Leila de Lima.
