Authorities have doubled the reward money for information leading to the capture of Angel Capili, Jr., the main suspect in the killing of Ricky Pempengco.
Ricky, the 40-year-old victim who was stabbed to death in Laguna, is the father of international singing sensation and Glee Season 2 star Charice.
Yesterday, the Philippine National Police, Laguna government, and the mayor of San Pedro town offered a reward of P100,000 for the man who allegedly stabbed Ricky repeatedly with an ice pick.
But earlier today, November 2, the reward money had been raised to P200,000.
In an interview aired on TV Patrol earlier tonight, Charice recalled that she last saw her father probably in 1995 or 1996.
"The last time na nakita ko siya [ay] noong nangyari ang mga violent things na nangyari sa amin.
"I was three or four years old.
"Sobrang nakakalungkot lang na kahit na ang last na pagkikita namin, in a violent way pa rin."
The YouTube sensation says that despite their troubled past, Charice still feels affection for her estranged father.
"In the end, he’s still my dad and kahit hindi kami nakapag bonding for a long time, I know that he knows that we still love him."
Remarks from family members on Ricky’s side prompted Charice to post angry tweets on her Twitter account.
The singer eventually deleted her tweets but she maintains that what she wrote there were her own feelings.

"Actually ang mga na-tweet ko po, that was just me being a defensive daughter," Charice explains.
"Pero as of now, okay na po ang lahat.
"Nakausap na namin ang mga kapatid ng daddy ko at okay na ang lahat."
The 19-year-old singer also mentioned that she saw someone who reminded her of her estranged father.
"Nasa Indonesia kami, katatapos lang ng show. May kasama akong bodyguard...
"I don’t now if it’s real, pero nung nakita ko siya, sabi niya ba-bye daw.
"The way he smiled at me, I saw my dad’s face and I told her na kamukha siya ng daddy ko.
"I know and I feel that he’s just always around."
SUSPECT’S WIFE APPEALS FOR FORGIVENESS. Task Force Pempengco has been organized by the police to conduct manhunt operations for suspect Angel Capili, Jr. in Cavite, Laguna, and Quezon.
According to a report from dzMM, Armando, the brother of Angel Capili Jr., has been captured by police.
Armando had a standing arrest warrant for a murder that he is said to have committed in Mabitac, Laguna.
When police visited the house of Angel Capili in General Trias, Cavite, they were able to reach his wife of ten years, Wilma.
Through her interview with ABS-CBN, Wilma gave this tearful message to Charice and the grieving members of the Pempengco family:
In response, police clarified that there is no shoot-to-kill order issued for the suspect.
Wilma believes that her husband only did the sordid act to defend himself.
"Baka ho naunahan lang ho yun. Baka di naman siya totally ang nanguna.
"Di ba ho kung kayo ang naunahan, di ba ho kayo gaganti?"
The distraught wife disclosed that she will make moves to convince her husband to surrender to authorities.
"Kung asawa ko talaga ang may kasalanan, kapag siya po ang tumawag sa akin, pasusukuin ko na lang po."
Wilma also mentioned that she was unaware about the stabbing incident since she last saw her husband last Sunday, October 30.
Angel and Ricky reportedly had an altercation on Monday night, October 31, in San Pedro, Laguna.
A murder case has already been filed against Angel Capili, Jr. by the San Pedro police.
