Nora Aunor is slated to go to the United States in January 2012 to undergo surgery.
Babalik po ako after a month," she told media including PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), during the opening of the 13th Cinemanila International Film Festival.
The Superstar was the guest of honor at the event held at Cinema 1 of Market! Market! last November 11.
"Pag naayos na ang operasyon. Naniniwala ako na mababalik talaga ang boses ko," said the multi-awarded singer who looks forward to holding a concert in the Philippines after the operation.

LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD FROM CINEMANILA. Before entering the cinema, Nora signed a portrait of herself at the lobby.
She personally accepted the bulol (Ifugao rice god) trophy given to her by Cinemanila founding director Tikoy Aguiluz and Taguig Mayor Lani Cayetano.
The Superstar expressed her gratitude to Direk Tikoy and the organizers for choosing her as one of the recipients of the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Aside from Nora, Italian film director Dario Argento was also honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Although the renowned horror film director was unable to attend the event, he gave a video message telling Direk Tikoy that "even though you are distant, you are very close to my heart.
"This award not only recognizes me but Italian cinema which I represent."
Nora is the lead actress in the period film El Presidente, which is helmed by Direk Tikoy.
According to the director, the movie on the life of Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo is scheduled to hit cinemas in June 2012.
"Nagpapasalamat rin ako sa TV5 sa pagtititiwala nila sa ’kin at pinapirma nila ako ng guaranteed three-year contract," said the actress who recently completed the mini-series Sa Ngalan ng Ina on the Kapatid network.
How does Nora feel receiving accolades from various award-giving bodies?
RETIREMENT. Does she plan to retire here or in America?
PEP reported on October 29 that Nora threw a farewell party for the cast and crew of Sa Ngalan ng Ina.
The event also served as the Halloween and thanksgiving party where cash prizes, cell phones, and iPods were given away.
Nora said she simply revived a tradition.
