"I wanna say, sincerely from all of us, this is our favorite place to come to.

"...Thank you for being the most beautiful people in the planet."

This was how vocalist Pat Monahan of American rock band, Train, described their Filipino fans who came to their concert last night, December 7, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City.

PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) had a chance to see Train's most awaited comeback concert in Manila—their second stop after Jakarta last December 5, as part of their Asian tour.

They first came to the Philippines last June 2010.

LOVING THE STAGE. The Big Dome was filled with delighted fans, who were obviously excited for the band to go onstage.

Before the band's much-awaited performance was the front act. The Filipino band, 6 Cyclemind, got a chance to play at the concert.

Band members Tutti Caringal (vocalist), Rye Sarmiento (rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist), Bob Cañamo (bass guitarist), and Herbert Hernandez (lead guitarist) regaled the crowd with their alternative rock OPM.

After the prelude, Train's staff and crew did a brief sound check while the main stage was organized.

At exactly 9 p.m., band members walked onstage and crowds started cheering.

The concert started with the sound of a train. When Pat started singing "Parachute," the audience screamed and sang along with them.

Others stood up on their seats to get a better view of the American singer.

As he ended the song with its last lyric "...running," Pat segued to their hit single "If it's Love," which was greeted with more screams.

When that song ended, Pat said: "I'll try to speak your language now!"

The crowd reacted with cheers and applause.

"Masaya kami makita kayo ulit sa Manila!" Pat said.

Some of the songs they performed last night were: "Meet Virginia," "Get to Me," "She's on Fire," "Calling All Angels," and "I Got You."

When the band started to play the song "Don't Stop Believing," Pat told the audience, "Great singers sing this song, so if I see you singing this song, I might ask you to come up here and try it out!"

He asked two ladies from the audience to sing the song with him.

When it came to "Save Me, San Francisco," the crowd went crazy, especially with the "Oh hell no!" part of the song.

And because Christmas is coming up, Train played their song, "Shake Up Christmas."

Pat also sang "Marry Me," as he went to the crowd and walked around the concert venue.

For his last song, Train played their chart-topping single, "Hey, Soul Sister."

After which, on behalf of the band members, Pat thanked the beautiful crowd of the Big Dome.

But the audience refused to let them go, chanting: "We want more!"

After a few seconds, Train came back onstage and sang "Words" and their Grammy award-winning song "Drops of Jupiter (Tell Me)."

Train definitely rocked the Big Dome with their comeback concert.
