PEP EXCLUSIVE Bassist Nathan Azarcon speaks up for the first time since breakup of Bamboo: "Medyo hindi amicable yung breakup nung banda. May mga unresolved na issues..."

"Of course, even if you want to disagree, how can you? What can you do if he doesn’t want to be with us anymore?" says Nathan Azarcon about his former bandmate Bamboo Mañalac. After a year since the breakup of their band Bamboo, Nathan talks about his issue against their former lead singer.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RICO BLANCO AND BAMBOO.

"Yung pinagtiyagaan namin ng halos sampung taon was snatched from us!" reklamo ni Nathan.

"In Rico’s case, when he left band, the difference between that, between Rico leaving Rivermaya and Bamboo leaving us, that’s totally different.

"Because Rico wrote all the songs [in Rivermaya]. Di ba, kuha mo? He is f**king Rivermaya, di ba?

"But with Bamboo’s case, he didn’t write any of the songs, but we did. So, that’s a totally different thing!"

THEY WERE NOT INFORMED.

"No. We were not informed... let’s say six months, or prior to ano. No.

"We were informed on, I think, I’m not sure, on that date?

"But parang early January. He informed us that the band was wala na."

"We had a meeting kuno, parang ganun...

"No, it wasn’t ok. Di ba? Because Vic wasn’t here and the only people in the meeting was me, Ira, and Bamboo," sabi pa ng 37-year-old na bass player.

Nasa ibang bansa raw noon si Vic.

"Of course, even if you want to disagree, how can you? What can you do if he doesn’t want to be with us anymore?"

SONGS ABOUT THE BREAKUP.

"Sa first single namin, ’Tamalee.’ You check it out in YouTube, check out the lyrics and the next one, ’Di Mo Na Kaya,’ parang it’s about separation."

"Bale it’s called Slow Rock Vol... ano, one-half ba tawag dun, o half? Basta, kalahati siya ng album.

"But eventually we’ll release the full album mga June."

"Well, most of our songs are statements of what happened to us, prior to the breakup and after the breakup. So, medyo biographical yung ano niya."

Sagot niya: "Well, when you write a song, usually it comes from your experiences. Kung ano ang nangyari sa iyo. Di ba?

"When you record a song, that’s who you are or what you are as a person or as a musician at that point, di ba?

"So, I guess we’re just writing and making songs about our lives.

"It’s not about getting back or whatever. It’s also a statement of what happened.

"But of course there are some unresolved issues na... di ba?

"I don’t know if I see Francisco, I don’t know what will happen. I don’t know."

PEEVED AT GETTING HACKED.

"The moment we released our video on YouTube, it was down for like, eight hours. It was down, and we were continued to be being attacked by a hacker.

"We know who it is. But I don’t wanna say his name kasi hindi pa ano...

"Anyway, that’s what’s really pissing me off right now," galit nitong pahayag.

"It’s unethical. You don’t do that!

"Walang ganunan!"

"I don’t wanna say who’s the suspect or anything, but who stands to gain from ano, di ba? Yun lang naman yun.

"That’s why I’m pissed right now. That’s why I’m ready to tell what really happened.

"And this is... I’m telling you right now, this is only like... hindi pa ito lahat. Just a part of it.

"We’ll talk again," paniniguro ni Nathan sa PEP.

"There are lots of things behind the breakup and ano, lots and lots of shocking things.

"I’ve been a musician for like more than twenty years and ngayon lang ako nakakita ng... what an ass!

"Music lang ang labanan e. It shouldn’t be crap like that. That’s why I’m pissed."

"LEGAL" ACTION HE WANTS TO DO.

"The appropriate action would be... of course at the appropriate time!" napamura pang sagot ni Nathan.

Magiging legal na labanan ba ang mangyayari?

"Legal? Sa ring, because I’m pissed!"

"No. I’m not gonna kick his ass.

"It has happened before. I mean, we... there were times that we came to blows.

"But I don’t think it’s gonna happen now.

"And if ever, I want something that to happen in a legal way. In a freakin’ ring!

"Kung puwede lang, e, upakan na lang.

"One on one. You know, one on one kami sa ULTRA o kaya dito sa.. san ’to, Araneta? URCC rules."

"I’m serious.
