Steven Silva topbills musical stage play; understands slow pace of his showbiz career

Steven Silva on being impatient on his career: "I didn’t understand before. Siguro I was just being impatient lang. They want to prepare me first. Kasi nga I have a problem with my Tagalog words, di ba? Gusto nila na maayos na akong magsalita before they give me more projects. Tama naman sila because hindi lang ako ang mahihirapan, the whole production will carry the burden if I don’t do good. Now, okay na because I have different projects now

"This is one of the wishes that I always pray for.

"I already did television and I’m also doing a stage musical soon.

"Nagkaroon ako ng malaking endorsement with Bench.

"Ngayon, I’m part of this movie ng GMA Films.

"I really learned to speak Tagalog correctly para hindi ako nahihirapan with my lines.

"Pero most of my lines sa mga last shows na ginawa ko are in English.

"But I sometimes request kung puwede gawing Tagalog para ma-practice ko naman."

ACTING WORKSHOP.

"When I was doing Koreana and Time of My Life, nag-acting workshop na ako with the cast. But I like to learn more about acting.

"I’m really interested in improving my acting more.

"I want to do more drama and even comedy films in the future.

"Kaya I hope that I get to attend more workshops."

THEATER ACTOR.

Ayon kay Steven, "First time ko to act on stage ’tapos musical pa ito. Kaya it’s really nerve-wracking.

"But I really want to do this and kahit medyo mahirap sa rehearsals, I’m going to focus on it so that I would be able to give a good performance."

Napanood lang daw siya ng producer ng Hope For The Flowers sa Party Pilipinas.

Kuwento ni Steven, "They asked me to audition for the role because they liked my singing in Party Pilipinas.

"I never really expected to get the part but I passed and now we are rehearsing for it.

"Sa August pa naman itong musical kaya we have plenty of time to prepare.

"We will stage it sa Irwin Theater at the Ateneo de Manila University."

CHEF STEVEN.

"I already finished my culinary course at CCA [California Culinary Academy in San Francisco].

"I graduated and got my diploma. I can work in any restaurant or hotel anytime.

"But I’m more into my showbiz career now because GMA-7 is giving me these good projects. Dito muna ako.

"Yung pagiging chef, I can always get back to it anytime naman," sabi niya.

ROCCO NACINO.

"I didn’t understand before. Siguro I was just being impatient lang.

"They want to prepare me first. Kasi nga I have a problem with my Tagalog words, di ba?

"Gusto nila na maayos na akong magsalita before they give me more projects.

"Tama naman sila because hindi lang ako ang mahihirapan, the whole production will carry the burden if I don’t do good.

"Now, okay na because I have different projects now."

Patuloy niya, "Regarding naman kay Rocco, I’m not at all jealous of what’s happening sa career niya.

"I am actually happy that he’s getting those projects.

"Bagay kasi sa kanya lahat ’yon. And he’s really a good actor and a great dancer.

"And Rocco is like my brother na. Kami sa batch namin in StarStruck, we support one another.

"Hindi kami naiinggit with one another. If one is doing good, then we are very happy.

"Take a look at Sarah [Lahbati], nagbida na siya.

"Sef [Cadayona] is doing good naman as a comedian; and even si Enzo [Pineda] and Diva [Montelaba], they’re getting good projects as well.

"Kaya we are all happy with each other’s career."
