Daiana Menezes resigns from Eat Bulaga! for "career move"

Daiana Menezes on leaving Eat Bulaga!: "I’ve been with Eat Bulaga! for five years and masakit naman ang ginawa ko, pero minsan, you just have to do a career move talaga. After a while, nag-decide ako na it’s time na talaga to let it go. Give more time for myself to do other tapings, improve my craft, and show more things to the Filipino people that I can act. I can do other

Aniya, “I’m no longer working for Eat Bulaga!. Nag-resign ako after the Holy Week.

“I just want to improve my craft and... my taping.

“I’m very, very thankful to Eat Bulaga!. Walang problema.

“Tita Malou [Choa-Fagar] is still my manager. It’s just a personal thing...

“I’ve been doing shows for other networks but I’m not exclusive with any of them.

“Of course, it’s a big issue when you say you left Eat Bulaga!. I have very high respect for them.

"I’ve been with Eat Bulaga! for five years and masakit naman ang ginawa ko, pero minsan, you just have to do a career move talaga.

After a while, nag-decide ako na it’s time na talaga to let it go.

“Give more time for myself to do other tapings, improve my craft, and show more things to the Filipino people that I can act. I can do other things.”

Paglilinaw pa ni Daiana, “Never ako na-burnout sa Eat Bulaga!.

“I have nothing against them. Wala naman talaga ako problema [sa kanila]."

NOT LEAVING THE PHILIPPINES.

“Sinasabi nila you have to get married to a Filipino guy para maging Pilipino ka.

“I don’t really need to do that because with my Brazilian passport, I have more entry, so hindi ko kailangan maggawa ng ganoong bagay.

“I am very happy being a Brazilian and, you know, being a Filipino by heart.

“I really consider the Philippines as my second home and it will never change.

“Even if I have the chance to work in Brazil, I still choose to be here. For me, this is my second home.

“May mga tao na sinasabi na umalis na ako sa Philippines and then I just made it malinaw sa mga tao, kung sinuman ang detractors, I’m not leaving.

“And I wanna make it clear to everyone that if I will make any decision, you guys will be the first to know because I have nothing to hide.”

LIVING WITH HER MOTHER.

“My mommy is here dahil sabi niya, ‘I’m gonna stay with you and parang bantay…’ hindi naman dahil pasaway ako.

“It’s just that she really wants to be with me and I think it’s essential naman talaga na someone from your family should be with you all the time.

“Kasi mahirap, I live alone, all by myself for seven years.

“And after a while, you really need someone who’s not just a friend or a boyfriend. It’s really your mom or parents," saad niya.

NOT BITTER WITH EX-BOYFRIEND GB SAMPEDRO.

“He has a unit in the same building. I’ve seen him once, just once after we broke up.

Dagdag pa ni Daiana, “Do you think being disappointed is bitter?

“I think being disappointed to a person who was engaged to you and never spoke to you after that, it’s not bitterness.”

“When you’re engaged doesn’t mean that the next day you have to get married.

“I think you have to get to know each other aside from the engagement.

“One thing that kinda scared me a little bit was that he wants to be engaged in less than a year, which was like we’re together less than six months.

“So, nakakatakot naman talaga ’yon. You have to get to know the person.

“It’s not because ayoko sa kanya. It’s just that napakabilis naman niya. Napakabilis na kailangan na ng assurance.

“I really respected him very much, his kids and everything.

“There’s no bitterness pero disappointment comes na noong tapos na yung relationship, no talk.

“There’s not even... we never even had a closure.”

ENGAGEMENT RING AND BRAZIL TRIP.

“My dad was the one who paid for the trip. He [GB] didn’t pay for anything.

He’s not a part of my life."

Pag-amin pa niya, “May bago naman, e. Mas guwapo. He makes me more happy. You guys will find out soon.
