Gwen Zamora on starring in her own teleserye: “Sana, I feel naman it’s close to my time.”

Gwen Zamora admits she was disappointed when she was not immediately launched as a teleserye star. She says, “At first I did... to be honest, I did cry about it. Siguro I was kind of expecting it talaga. Because I put naman my heart and soul in everything. I guess it’s just not my time. And I understand it now. I’ll just continue praying. And I’m learning to be more patient now.”

Paglilinaw naman ni Gwen, “Martin and I are good friends that’s why I was invited here. At saka yung isa sa business partners niya rito, si Rambo, is the cousin of my sister’s partner.

Aniya, “Yes, we’re friends. I’ve known her for quite some time now.

“Binibiro ko nga siya, sabi ko, ‘You’re my future wife.’ But no, we’re really just good friends. And I’m honored that she’s here.”

Aniya, “She’s beautiful and very nice. You know, we’ve hang out na rin many times and she’s very fun to be with.”

THE BUSINESSMAN.

“Pero hopefully in the next few months, okay na yung situation.

"Medyo complicated lang but we’re okay.

“Siguro one day I’ll write a book about it," saad niya.

“Yun nga lang, all I can say is that my heart is reserved for someone.”

“It feels good!” bulalas niya.

“I got to finally work with Dennis Trillo and he was amazing to work with, as in super-professional siya talaga.

“‘Pag eksena, bigay-todo talaga siya. Nag-iiba siya, e, parang nagmo-morph siya into his character.

“And yun ang type of actors I’d like to work with—yung kahit anong gawin niyang eksena, wala siyang hesitations.

“I enjoy working with actors like that because it makes me feel comfortable na kahit anong gawin ko, puwede, kasi sila rin, yun din ang ginagawa.”

Ayon kay Gwen, “Actually, we’re okay na from before.

So, I got to finally talk to her.

Sagot ni Gwen, “It was hard kasi it was my first time to be a kontrabida onscreen.

“It was hard kasi minsan parang naiuuwi ko yung character ko. Nahirapan ako but I tried my best.

“Then I asked advice from Glaiza. And then the feedback she gave me was good naman.”

“I’d like to explore something else sana.

WANTS TO BE BIDA.

“Sana, I feel naman it’s close to my time.”

“Honestly, I was expecting that also.

“Ganun yung parang build-up noon sa akin. Pero I don’t know what went wrong.

“I tried my hardest naman until now. Hindi naman ako pasaway. Never pa akong na-late sa set.

“I don’t think I was hard to work with.”

So, nasaktan siya sa nangyari?

“At first I did... to be honest, I did cry about it,’ pag-amin ni Gwen.

“Siguro I was kind of expecting it talaga. Because I put naman my heart and soul in everything.

“I guess it’s just not my time. And I understand it now.

“I’ll just continue praying. And I’m learning to be more patient now.”

FIRST BREAK AS A DIRECTOR.

Saad ni Gwen, “I might be directing a movie. They are the producers and I’m the director.

“Basically, ano siya, omnibus movie which is a movie divided into five short films.

“’Tapos they have Japan, Singapore, Thailand, and they’re debating between Korea or Malaysia or Indonesia.”

“My dream before acting was to become a director.

“So, it just so happens that when I talked to the producers and I told them about that, they said, ‘Why don’t you direct a movie for us?’ So, game naman ako.

“Right now, I’m brainstorming and I found my assistant director and co-writer, Ms. Lou Gopez.”

“No, I’m not that greedy naman!” natawang sabi ni Gwen.

“Kung director ako, director lang. Gusto ko munang mag-focus doon.

“Kasi this is my first break so I want to really make the best out of it.”
