Tumangging magbigay ng live TV interview ang dating beauty queen na si Jewel Mae Lobaton tungkol sa hiwalayan nila ng asawang si Senator Koko Pimentel.
Ang balita ay kinumpirma mismo ng pulitiko sa e-mail na ipinadala niya sa mga broadsheets, kung saan sinabi niyang, “This may well be the most difficult public pronouncement I will ever be making in my entire life.
"And painful too, as every separation involves a certain degree of pain."
Tumagal ng 12 taon ang pagsasama ni Jewel at ng senador; sila ay may dalawang anak.
Sa parte naman ni Jewel, nilinaw nito na hindi "third party" ang dahilan ng hiwalayan.
Sa text message na ipinadala niya kay Gorgy Rula ng Startalk, aniya, "What is clear between me and Koko is that the third party was not the reason of the separation."
Ang idinadawit na pangalan, ayon sa Philippine Daily Inquirer, ay si Congressmam Anthony Rolando Golez Jr.
Ayon sa sources ng nasabing broadsheet, madalas daw makitang magkasama sina Jewel at Anthony sa mga malls at restaurants.
Binanggit din sa balita na may feeding program pa raw ang dalawa.
Pero nilinaw ni Jewel sa kanyang text, "It is unfair to Congressman Golez when his name was mentioned in the papers as the reason of the separation."
Bilang panghuli, hiniling nito na, "I'm also asking for prayers from everyone and understanding that this is a very private matter between me and Koko."
