Martin Escudero denies he had relationship with a transvestite

Martin Escudero of the much-lauded indie film, Zombadings: Patayin sa Shokot si Remington, was named one of YES! Magazine’s 100 Most Beautiful Stars.

Martin Escudero, most noted for his role in the indie film Zombadings: Patayin sa Shokot si Remington, was named one of YES! Magazine’s 100 Most Beautiful Stars for 2012.

Last Sunday, Showbiz Central reported a transvestite named Jerich was claiming to have recently been in a relationship with three reality-show stars—including Martin, who won in StarStruck Batch 4.

Jerich auditioned for GMA-7’s new talent search, Protégé.

At the presscon for the YES! 100 Most Beautiful Stars at Richmonde Hotel in Eastwood City last Monday, July 2, PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) asked Martin if there was any truth in this.

The Kapatid star told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) that he was also surprised with the news since he didn’t get to see the show because of work.

Martin said he is completely clueless on how the issue came about.

PROJECTS. Martin is in the cast of TV5’s first fantasy drama series, Enchanted Garden, in which he will be part of a love triangle with Alex Gonzaga and Edgar Allan Guzman.

He will also be part of the 14th installment of Regal Entertainment’s enduring horror trilogy, Shake Rattle & Roll, an entry to this year’s Metro Manila Festival.

Kasama ko sila Dennis [Trillo] dun,” Martin revealed.

He is also doing another movie but is not allowed to disclose the details just yet.

MOST BEAUTIFUL. How does he feel to become a part of YES! Magazine’s 100 Most Beautiful Stars?

“First time ko.

“Ngayon ko lang na-realize,” he said smiling.

What else does he consider beautiful about himself?

“Siyempre maganda yung kalooban ko. Yung ano ah...

NEXT BIG STAR ? Martin was given the lead role—at least half of it—in the TV5 comedy series Kapitan Awesome as the hero’s alter ego. The hero part is played by Empoy.

Does he think his launch as a TV5 matinee idol hasn’t come full circle?

Isn’t he getting frustrated that he might not be getting the breaks he deserve?

MERGING OF TV5 AND GMA-7. Being one of the winners of StarStruck Season 4, how does Martin feel about the prospect of his former and current network merging together?

Should the merge take place, Martin is confident that TV5 will value him just the same.

INDIE ACTOR. Does Martin think he gained an advantage as an actor because of doing an independent film?

“Oo naman. Malaking-malaki.

“Sa tingin ko, mas napapakita ko run yung hinahanap nila kesa sa mainstream," he said.

Does this mean that actors who came from indie have an edge over those who didn’t?

Is Zombadings going to have a part two?

“Maraming may gusto, pero wala pa akong balita,” was his reply.
