Ayon kay Dominic, “Yung story ng Ang Nawawala is about a young man who doesn’t speak, kasi may nangyaring traumatic experience nung bata siya na he witnessed.
“So from there, I chose not to talk.
“It’s my first full-length film and it’s the biggest project of my career so far.
“The cast was really fun to work with, sila Ms. Dawn, sina Sir Boboy.”
“With this character, this is the most challenging role that I have ever tackled. Kasi hindi ako nagsasalita, kaya I had to double the effort.”
FIRST-TIME DIRECTOR. Kumusta ang first-time director niyang si Marie Jamora na nagdidirek na ng TV commercials and music videos?
“Perfectionist ang director namin, which I like. Kasi tutok siya sa movie niya, which is good, which is tama.
“Sana lahat ng directors ganun.
“Each scene, they discuss, they talk about it. What’s wrong, what’s right.
“And they talk to the actors so many times.
“She was really great, she was really professional. She was strict, but strict in a good way.
“Every scene, she would talk to us. She’d really talk to all actors so that it would really look natural.
“Parang hindi siya first timer, it was really natural for her to direct."
Patuloy ni Dominic, “Also, yung availability ng cast, it was hard!
“Like si Ms. Dawn, si Sir Boboy, it was hard to get the cast all together.
“So, putol-putol po ang shoot, pero it worked perfectly.”
DAWN AND BOBOY.
“Noong una po, kinabahan ako, kasi nga it’s my first time working with her.
“Noong una, I don’t know how to react to her kasi na-starstuck ako, kasi, ‘Wow, Dawn Zulueta!’
“Napakahusay niyang artista, and she really taught as a lot with that short time we were together.
"It was an honor working with her."
GMA ARTIST CENTER.
Napangiti muna ito bago sumagot: “Right now, I think, for me, kulang pa…hindi pa ako kuntento.
“Sa tagal ko po sa GMA, I never felt that they gave me the break.
“But I’m not naman [complaining], ’coz I can’t do anything naman, and nasa tao rin yun.
“So right now, I’m just waiting…
“Okey ang Artist Center ngayon ‘coz they’re giving out workshops, like English proficiency, acting workshops, dance workshops…
“So, at least, you can see the effort of GMA Artist Center.”
“It’s five years but I still have two more years,” banggit ni Dominic.
“This is a renewed contract. Yung first contract ko was two years. And then, I signed a five-year contract.
“So, more or less, six years na ata ako sa GMA.”
“Opo, doon lang po ako nanghihinayang, na sana, they give out projects not only to me, but the other deserving artists of Artist Center.
“A lot of people or a lot of talents are having problems rin. It’s not only me who feels this way. Pero they’re fixing it naman.
“Like this, wala namang problema sa kanila. I asked them if I can do this film [Ang Nawawala], if I could do this project, ‘coz I really thought it will be a nice project to do. Sayang, e, sayang…
“Sana a lot of artists would try to do indie. Kasi, it’s really an eye-opener and it’s really a good experience for everyone.”
OFFERS FROM OTHER NETWORS.
“I have to turn them down. Wala po akong magagawa, I’m exclusive to GMA.”
“I leave that to Artist Center. Sila na po bahala.
“If they think I’m ready na for a lead role movie, so I’m just waiting…”
“Hindi… it will come. Patient lang… you just have to have patience.”
“Yeah, of course. We’re all here to stay long,” sagot ni Dominic.
