Derek Ramsay still willing to do a movie with Star Cinema even without a contract

Derek Ramsay on The Amazing Race Philippines: “Ako nga, sinasabi ko, hindi naman ako ang papanoorin dito, e. So, there’s no pressure.

"I was there to motivate as a game master. Ayun, motivate and, at the same time, kailangang parusahan pa sila.

“But this one, it was physically taxing. It was wake up-alis, wake up-alis. But it was exciting.

“Ako, I’m excited to go to this place, to this place, to this place.

Aniya, “Because it’s so natural. It’s not like I was hosting, parang I was part of the competition. I was witnessing all these guys.”

I already know too much about it—unless magkaroon ng Amazing Race ang hosts,” sabi ni Derek.

“That’s the second best thing,” sabi niya. “At least naging part ako ng Amazing Race, that’s won how many awards, di ba?”

“For me, no pressure because it’s a big show. It’s a show known internationally and mayroon na siyang supporters,” sagot ng Kapatid actor.

So, there’s no pressure.

IGNORING INTRIGUES.

“Well, right now, wala naman masyado except for that ABS-CBN thing. It’s not an issue for me kasi, at the end of the day, this is a business,” sabi pa ni Derek.

“Like I said in the presscon, I don’t know what their reasons are, that’s why I don’t want to assume.

“If their reasons are business, it’s a competition between the networks and the two producers, I understand that.

“It’s a business, you have to make decisions like that.

“I didn’t really talk about it, I didn’t talk to Viva.

“When they told me about it, I was like, wow, akala ko tsismis lang. Hindi ko na iniisip.

“I didn’t make any complaints or nagtampo, wala na talaga.

“I didn’t wanna do it kasi now, ABS-CBN is putting [the movie trailer] out, e.”

KEEPING HIS PROMISE. No Other Woman at Praybeyt Benjamin.

“I still stand by what I said,” sabi ng aktor.

“I promised Star Cinema that I’d shoot a movie for them if they believe in me to do another film.

“I promised Star Cinema, I promised Boss Vic [de Rosario], ’After No Other Woman and Praybeyt Benjamin, na kahit walang kontrata, promise ko sa inyo gagawa ng pelikula sa inyo.’

“I was very honest about that also.

"Sinabi ko sa Star Cinema that I’m going to do a film with Viva noong panahong ginagawa ko yung The Mistress.

“Kasi co-prod ‘yon, e, Viva and Star Cinema, for both movies that did so well.

“For me, out of respect for the two [movie outfits], I should do a movie for each.”
