Jed Madela says that his move to Star Records from Universal Records was a “management decision.” Of his former recording label, he says: “I’ve been with Universal for nine years already, and they were the ones who brought me up when I was still a nobody in the industry.

“There’s a little bit of… hindi naman sama ng loob, more of tampo or… not naman to the point na hindi na kami nagpapansinan,” wika ni Jed.

“We still talk, and hindi naman maiiwasan na sumama ang loob kasi with the number of years na magkakasama kami, of course may konting tampo rin.

“Pero we still talk and who knows, we might collaborate again in other albums in the future.”

Aniya, “It’s more of my management’s decision, na they’ve decided na I’ve been with Universal for nine years already, and they were the ones who brought me up when I was still a nobody in the industry.

“You know, sobrang laki ng utang nan loob ko sa kanila.

“But of course I need to grow, we have to explore other possibilities na working with new artists, collaborate with other creative minds para naman [for a change].

“So, I’m so happy with Star [Records] kasi ang dami kong na-discover na kaya ko palang gawin, like this album, hindi ko naisip na kaya ko pala ‘tong gawin... na puwede kong gawin... puwede palang gawin ng boses ko ‘to.

“So, I’m very happy with the album.”

LOVE WILL COME.

“With the family naman, they’re not… hindi sila nagpe-pressure sa akin,” sabi ni Jed.

“Uhm, what matters to them is I’m happy with my status in life now. Uhm, kumbaga open-minded kasi yung pamilya ko, e.

“As long as I’m happy, it doesn’t matter if I’m in a relationship or not.

“I’m happy with my brother and sister, lalo na they have kids already, so the more na dapat i-pressure nila ako but hindi, e.

“It’s a… my mom and dad are very supportive talaga with what I do.”

NOOD KA MUNA!

Pagdating sa pag-ibig, naniniwala rin daw kasi si Jed na “it will arrive, it will come.” Ayoko na i-push.

“Kasi nga the last one that I really fell for was really, uhm, not naman a traumatic experience. But it was an experience na nawindang ang mundo ko, parang gano’n.

“So, she’s already okay now and that’s what matters naman, e, so sana makahanap na ako nang mamahalin, kumbaga in the future.

“Pero hindi ako naghahanap, it will just come.”
