Kuwento pa ni Benjamin Alves sa PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) at sa Ang Latest ng TV5 last Sunday, April 21 sa lobby ng AFP Theater kung saan idinaos ang 61st FAMAS Awards, “Great, great. We’re on…half na po 'ata kami e, last half na po 'ata kami. Actually, lahat na po ng scenes are really heavy, so yun po.”
NOT THREATENED BY ROCCO. A few weeks back, iniintriga ang nasabing soap dahil sa pagdagdag ng karakter ni Rocco Nacino dahil diumano'y hindi raw satisfied ang management sa acting na ipinakita ni Benjamin.
Ano kaya ang masasabi niya dito?
Paliwanag ni Benjamin, “I never… I haven’t heard that pero I’m doing my best, it’s a very good experience for me…the whole time I’m with the show and I’m learning a lot.
“And I still realize that I still have a lot to learn and I really do my best and I hope people are happy about it. I try harder.”
“Every time na may taping naman po, I’m always open to suggestions and everything lalung-lalo na po yung galing kay direk.”
Ano naman kaya ang reaction niya na ipinasok daw si Rocco sa show para magkaroon ng bagong timpla ang istorya?
Saad nito, “Well, I think it was necessary for the show na pumasok si Rocco, mas gumanda po yung takbo ng istorya.”
“I don’t know if that’s the reason but I have no control over that. You know, it just makes me act and try a lot harder because kasama ko si Rocco.
“Actually, it makes me a lot comfortable sa set because Rocco’s a good friend, so pag nagkakasama na po kami may rapport na po kami.”
“So, I’m excited. I’ve never been insecure if someone is compared to me because I’m still new.
“So, if there's anything I'm looking forward to Rocco’s coming into the show, I’m sure I’ll learn a lot from him coz he’s the senior compared to me.”
BEING CHRISTIAN. Bukambibig si Benjamin tungkol sa kanyang pagiging Christian
Nakakaapekto kaya ito sa pagpili niya sa mga roles lalung-lalo na ang kanyang pagpapa-sexy?
“No naman,” mabilis niyang pag-amin.
“Me as a Christian is different from me as an actor, it’s never… although there’s some restrictions for me pero hindi naman po siya…
“I mean I’m doing beach bodies, I’m doing and open to daring roles naman, e, and if it’s gonna make me mature as an actor, as a celebrity I guess or whatever, then I guess its fine.”
“It’s been a personal relationship that I have with God and that’s not gonna affect any public standards naman, so I’m fine with it,” pagtatapos niyang saad.
