Jasmine Curtis keeps mum when asked about the real status of her relationship with Sam Concepcion.
“Siya na lang [ang tanungin ninyo],” said the younger sister of Anne Curtis in an interview during the presentation of nominees of the OMG Philippines Awards last Tuesday, June 4.
The 19-year-old actress explained to PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and other invited media, “A lady shouldn’t be the one defining it, especially to the public, since it’s such a private part of who I am, who he is.
“I think, you know, when it comes to personal matters, not even with just relationships, in terms of mga ganun, mga lovey-dovey stuff or even if it was a family matter, I would prefer to keep it private and learn how to just handle it in my little world.
“Whatever status he says it is and comes to the press then, you know, I will say my part once he’s done his, kasi it’s much better talaga.”
SAM IS OKAY WITH HER FAMILY. Although the Kapatid actress is tight-lipped about her relationship with the Kapamilya singer-actor, Jasmine does not deny that Sam has met her parents.
“My family is open to him, you know, pursuing me and courting me,” she said.
“I’m just happy. He’s such a great guy, he’s caring.
“I’m happy na they’re very supportive.”
Anne Curtis, Jasmine’s older sister, had this to say about Sam: “Mukha naman talagang mabait siya. He’s pursuing Jasmine and he’s a gentleman.”
Jasmine, however, does not want to put a different meaning on how her family treats the 20-year-old singer.
She said, “If it was any other guy, it would be the same.
“At first, maybe they won’t seem like they’re okay kasi, siyempre, I’m a girl.
“You know, they want the boy to work for my attention, my everything.
“Kasi, when you’re in a relationship, they know how much a girl gives when in a relationship.”
Right now, Jasmine just wants to follow her sister’s constant reminder about being a celebrity: “Learn how to keep your personal life private.”
