Enzo Pineda on not letting himself get too affected by rating of Sunday All Stars: “Pana-panahon din lang ang ratings.”

Enzo shares what he loves most about Sunday All Stars: “I think the show is really good ’coz it brings out the best in everyone. It’s not about the competition naman, e. It’s like yung sharing of ideas and discovering new talents ng mga artista na hindi pa napapakita.”

Isa palang avid San Antonio Spurs fan si Enzo Pineda.

Kaya noong matalo ito ng Miami Heat sa finals ng NBA Championships (Game 7) with the final score na 88-95 noong Biyernes, June 21, ay sobra ang panghihinayang nito.

Kuwento niya sa PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) sa set ng Kakambal ni Eliana noong araw ding yun, “Ako kasi I always go with the underdogs.

“Siguro, I just want to prove na hindi kailangang maging isang all-star team para maging isang champion. It takes more than that.

“It’s really teamwork.

“Pero, it was a close game. Walang team na natambakan. One second na lang may naghahabol pa. Kaya, exciting talaga.”

BASKETBALL BUFF.

Ayon sa Starstruck alumnus, “Yeah, I’m a basketball buff. But, I’m not really into playing basketball.

“They bond and even do exercises at home para di na sila lumabas pero productive naman.”

Speaking of exercise and workouts, aminado ang aktor na hindi na niya ito nagagawa religiously.

Aniya, “Before, I used to work out a lot.

“Pero, yung workout, it’s some kind of stress-reliever and one thing pa, it’s good sa health natin. Kaya you can see, a lot of people are investing their money in that.

“But it’s worth it naman.”

Komento ni Enzo, “Ako naman kasi, it’s like I’m hoping for the best.

“And kami naman as artists, we’re doing what is expected of us. We do our work, do our best and as we do that alam namin na later on mas marami ang manonood sa SAS.

“It’s a new concept. Ako, I like it kasi challenging.

“I think the show is really good ’coz it brings out the best in everyone.”

Dagdag pa niya, “It’s not about the competition naman, e. It’s like yung sharing of ideas and discovering new talents ng mga artista na hindi pa napapakita.

“Like ako, I would go for rapping, yung mga hip hop and fast songs.

“Sa dancing naman, I would like to do like daring dances— yung lumilipad-lipad ka. Yung tipong ganun.

“Ako, last Sunday I was in a box then I was reversed and it’s like I’m the shadow of Aljur Abrenica.

Saad ng Kapuso actor, “Sa akin kasi, it’s more time and dedication on our part but the reward is bigger kasi ang sarap ng feeling kapag nakakapag-suggest ka at nagagawa mo ang gusto mo.

“Mataas ang contentment. That’s the reward. Hindi yung before na they just give you the number and perform.

“At least ito, kahit it takes up more of our time, nakaka-excite naman in the end.

“I look forward to another Sunday kaya as early ay pinag-uusapan na namin ang production number.

“But it’s fun. Kaya kahit na-miss ko some of my friends kasi nga we’re like in different groups— sina Mark [Herras], Rocco [Nacino]— after the show na lang kami nagkikita-kita.

Paliwanag naman ni Enzo, “I think some of us are just busy. And that’s understandable naman. Like ako, nasa taping ako, so I might not be able to rehearse with them.

Alam ko naman sa sarili ko na babawi naman sila if they have time to do it na.

“Kumbaga, pag-iintindihan lang talaga ‘yan. Kasi alam naman namin na each of us ay may ibang work so mahirap talaga na everytime ay mabubuo ang group namin.”

NOT BOTHERED BY RATINGS.

People will have their say and compare this show to that show.

“It’s normal and para sa akin kasi ay… wala naman, we just have to do our part para tumaas ang ratings and it doesn’t matter kung ano ang ginagawa ng kabila.

“Tulad namin, they’re also just doing their own thing and lahat kami ay mga artista and even though we’re from different networks, we’re still brothers.

“There are days na maganda ang lahat pero at the end of the day, masaya ka na nagawa mo ang gusto mo and should be proud of it.

“Although we also have our responsibility kasi part din kami ng show o ng network. Kaya yun nga, we are also expected na gawin din what we ought to do,” pagtatapos niya.
