Jake Cuenca on comments about his acting ability: “It was a fuel, siya yung naging gasolina ko to be better.”

Sagot niya, “May pressure, e. Nakakatakot, but again, you can be so good in one role then gagawa ng isang role that will completely make a difference.”

Sabi ni Jake tungkol sa pagpuna noon sa kanyang pag-arte, “I am always aware of that.

“It was a fuel, siya yung naging gasolina ko to be better.

“Hindi ako apektado and I always believe that.

“I might not be this lucky son who’s gifted with... sa unang salta pa lang ay ang galing nang umarte and everything.”

BEGINNINGS.

“Yeah, I had one and I will never forget that,—but this one is a long time ago.

“I was watching a playback and the director and the producer didn’t know that I was right behind them.

“Then I heard them say, ‘Why doesn’t he just go back to modelling ‘coz nothing’s gonna happen to him in the industry?’"

Sabi niya, “Wala. I didn’t do anything, I just accepted it, took it in, and moved to ABS-CBN.”

ACCOMPLISHED ACTOR.

“It’s flattering,” tila nahihiyang sabi ni Jake.

“May pressure, e. Nakakatakot.

"But again, you can be so good in one role then gagawa ng isang role that will completely make a difference.

“So, I am really flattered and I appreciate the comments and praises.

“I would say that ten percent of that is luck and I think that I shine and I grow because of ABS-CBN and Star Cinema.”

Pahayag ng 25-year-old actor, “Mabusisi ako, e.

"I do a lot of home work. I create life into my character.

“Minsan, nagsusulat ako ng monologues ko.

“I have a lot of diaries na monologues ng characters ko and I try to create a life for them. It’s in my head.

You can never be down kasi nasa puso mo na ‘yan, e.

“And then, it just becomes spontaneous, you just go with the flow sa bawat scene kahit inaral mo.”

ADMIRATION. Speaking of Tuhog, sinabi ni Jake sa isang The Buzz interview na itinuturing niyang “best actress in the world” si Eugene Domingo. Bakit niya nasabi iyon?

Aniya, “When you talk about Eugene Domingo... again, babalik ako sa pagiging spontaneous.

“She is matched with it, she’s so relaxed.

"When it comes to acting, she’s so real.

“Hindi pa ako nagkakaroon ng eksena with anyone na ganoon kasaya—so fulfilling and it’s fun.”

“And during this movie, I love her... I mean, as a person, I love her.

“Bukod sa marami kang matututunan, this is the most fun role I have ever portrayed.”

Isa nga sa karanasan ang makatrabaho si Eugene kasi either you have it or “you drown,” natatawang sambit pa ni Jake.

KISSING SCENES.

“There’s a lot!” natatawang kumpirma ni Jake.

Ano ang pinakaimportanteng natutunan niya bilang isang aktor?

“I have the same motto for everything—I treat each day as if it were my last.

“But in everything that I do, I treat it as if it’s my last on the set... last with my family and friends.

"I live life to fullest—everything.”

Huling katanungan ni Boy: “Love or career?”

“Career,” sagot ni Jake.
