Isabelle Daza on gays: “I love hanging out with them, laging masaya—my best friends are gays.”

Isabelle Daza on controversial photo with cousin Georgina Wilson: “If you take everything literally, nothing will be seen in artistic manner. So, yun! That’s it. I mean, I don’t feel the need to explain to everyone. If people ask me, I’ll explain it.

“Ben Chan is like a family to me, he’s really… we’re practically related because he treats us so well.”

Kuwento niya, “Actually, I didn’t think I was gonna model.

“Pero si Mr. Ben Chan asked me to be the face of Human, so yun ang nagpasimula.

“So, I’m very happy to be a part of Bench for the past seven, eight years na.”

KISSING PHOTO.

For me, wala namang issue, e.

"I’m proud of the picture, I’m happy how it came out.”

“Actually, no.

"To be honest, I didn’t read the comments, kasi parang… I don’t feel the need to.

“And I think people will always say what they want and there’s always gonna be a good and a bad to everything.

“So, I didn’t let it affect me so much, kasi it’s my opinion and I think I’m open-minded enough, di ba?

“If we judge every single quote, all that we see here, what’s gonna happen to our industry, to fashion and art, di ba?”

Aniya, “Yeah, I mean I’m very comfortable with sexuality and Georgina also.

“We did it for fun and we did it for a purpose—so it’s fun.”

“Hindi, kasi if you look at it, it’s not supposed to be taken literally. Hindi yung, ‘O, magpinsan kayo.’

“It’s an art picture, just like if you look at this," sabay turo niya sa isang larawan ng isang modelong topless na naka-pantalon.

“Parang, ano ito? Papasok siya sa shower? Di ba?

“If you take everything literally, nothing will be seen in artistic manner. So, yun! That’s it.

“I mean, I don’t feel the need to explain to everyone.

"If people ask me, I’ll explain it.

“Tawang-tawa nga kami during the shoot—it was fun.”

“My mom likes it. Sabi nga niya, they should make it a billboard.”

GAY RIGHTS.

Sagot ni Isabelle, “Yeah, it was actually for gay rights.

“Di ba, in Los Angeles, marriage for same sex is allowed?

"So, I said, ‘O, sige, i-post na namin—for fun.’”

“It’s not even on my radar.”

“I’m happy. Alam mo, tayong mga Pilipino, we really are supportive of gays and transgenders, bisexuals.

“I think that’s one thing I love about our culture, it’s celebrated here.

“Di ba, yung mga beki [bading] mga bongga, mga Super Sireyna!

“So, I think, tamang-tama lang that we accepted and we celebrate it,” saad niya.

I’ve always been accepting it.

“I thought it was timely na i-post yung picture dahil nga sa gay marriage… timing lang.”

Sabi niya, “Why not? Gays are your best supporters.

“They’re so sweet, I love them, I really appreciate them.

“Parang I love hanging out with them, laging masaya—my best friends are gays.”

SHOWBIZ CAREER. It Takes A Man and A Woman.

“It’s a love story about two men, ang mga kasama ko sina Jake Cuenca at Lovi [Poe], it’s an art film.”

They [GMA-7] asked me pero siguro, end of this year, I’ll do another one.

“I’m focusing kasi ngayon sa triathlon. In August, meron akong malaking race, so I’m focusing on that.

“Then, after that, I’ll do another one.

I’m happy with them.

“Okay na rin ako with my two shows—nagge-guest naman ako sa show every now and then.

“Nakakapagod din naman yung every Sunday work, only now na I’m getting back my Sundays.”

“Kasi nga, he’s my friend!” sabi niya patungkol sa box-office actor.

“Alangan naman he made me sira, di ba?

“Siyempre, I’m touched when people tell me na my work is nice and I did really well.

“Pero I still have to work harder, feeling ko, kulang pa talaga.

“But I’m enjoying showbiz and all the friends I made.

“Yung acting naman, I’m just taking it one day at a time.”
