Cory Monteith's body was cremated on Tuesday (16.07.13) after a private wake in a hospital in Vancouver, Canada, and his father Joe Monteith is devastated he was not invited.

Cory Monteith's body was cremated on Tuesday, July 16.

The Glee star's funeral took place in Vancouver, Canada, following a private wake that was attended by his heartbroken girlfriend Lea Michele, 26, and his family, including his older brother Shaun.

But Cory's father, Joe Monteith, is devastated that he was not invited.

Joe told gossip website TMZ.com that he was only informed about his son's cremation after it took place and is "totally devastated" that he wasn't invited to view Cory's body for the last time.

He added: "I always loved both my sons and am going to miss Cory very very much. I'm saddened at the fact that I couldn't have been there to see my son before he was cremated."

Sources said that Cory's mother, Ann, decided to hold a wake for the 31-year-old actor, who was found dead in his hotel room in the city on Saturday (July 13) after he accidentally overdosed from heroin and alcohol, in the hospital after his body was released following an autopsy on Tuesday.
