Vina Morales understands the plight of women who file cases in court, especially those who are fighting for the sake of their children.
"Pagdating diyan, lahat gagawin mo para sa anak mo—what’s best for her," said Vina during her visit to the Ystilo Salon branch in Mall of Asia earlier today, August 15.
Vina and her sister Shaina Magdayao spearheaded the celebration of their salon’s 15th anniversary.
This year, three celebrities—Kris Aquino, Sunshine Cruz, and Claudine Barretto—publicly accused their husbands of violating R.A. 9262 or the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004. .
According to two reliable sources of PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), Vina is also in a legal battle against Cedric Lee, the businessman who is the father of her four-year-old daughter. The actress, however, seems to be more inclined in choosing the path of silence.
When asked regarding the so-called "9262 Club," which refers to celebrities who have filed cases citing violations of RA 9262, Vina said with a laugh: "Naku, kasama ako diyan!"
However, the actress declined to give details about her legal battles.
"Ay, huwag nang detalye. Basta ako, member," she confirmed.
"Hindi ako magde-detail, pasensiya na po."
(Respecting Vina’s wishes, PEP chooses not to elaborate on the petitions that—according to sources— she and Cedric filed against each other.)
On the bright side, the 37-year-old actress said she channels whatever sad emotions she has into her role, the mother of Jessy Mendiola, in the Filipino adaptation of the hit Mexicanovela Maria Mercedes.
Marami akong pinaghuhugutan niyan!
"Thankful and blessed kahit may mga problema sa buhay. Dapat ganun ang outlook sa buhay."
SINGLE MOTHER. Vina considers her daughter Ceana as a big blessing in her life.
"Okay naman as a single mom, I’m very open about it.
"I guess, I take it in a different way, mas positive...
"Maraming single moms kaya! Saka proud ako!"
