It was raining men.
With "Cosmo University" as this year’s theme, the Cosmo Bachelor Bash proved to be a stimulating semester, as 10 centerfolds and 69 hunks showcased their sexiest moves on the runway.
Held at the World Trade Center last night, September 24, ladies and gents queued outside as early as 6 p.m. to ensure entry to one of the most-anticipated annual events in the country.
OPM bands such as Spongecola and Calla Lily got the party started with a few songs before the main program began at past 10 p.m.
To warm up the audience, dashing male models played some naughty sponsored-games together with pre-selected female contestants.
Though a bit shy at first about playing “kissing game” and “touch the body part” on stage, the ladies proved to be competitive in the end, when they had to snag a hunk for the two contests.
MORE TOPLESS MEN. But the thrill in the beginning was nothing compared to the parade of gorgeous men that followed.
Former Cosmo Centerfolds Hideo Muraoka, Jon Hall, and Pancho Magno appeared as hunky professors, welcoming the student body on their first day of school.
Singer Markki Stroem also received cheers from fans, as he performed Maroon 5’s “Daylight” for the intermission number. After the song, Markki suddenly stripped off his shirt and pants, much to everyone’s delight.
Athletic studs—led by Anton del Rosario, Carli de Murga, Andrew Wolff, Kirk Vista, and Carlo Romero—upped the excitement with their lethal combination of good looks, fit bodies, and amazing sports talent.
What followed was a dance number between campus bad boys versus sexy nerds, featuring teleserye hunks Arron Villaflor (Juan dela Cruz), Rodjun Cruz (My Husband’s Lover), Vin Abrenica (Never Say Goodbye), and Vince Velasco (My Husband’s Lover).
Aaron actually channeled his vampire role in Juan dela Cruz, as he tried to scare off the audience as part of his stunt on the catwalk.
Rodjun, for his part, captured the crowd’s attention with his sexy dance moves. He played on a sense of mystery by wearing a mask, which sustained the audience’s excitement before his catwalk turn.
Portraying a head coach, Daniel Matsunaga managed to look hot and wholesome at the same time. He kept his pants on and used his mega-watt smile to charm the audience instead.
Former Cosmo Centerfolds and Bachelor Bash alumni Victor Basa, Brent Javier, Jay-R, and San Beda varsity players Anthony and David Semerad were part of the "homecoming" segment.
Other sidelights in the event included the "locker room" scene, where models were shown either taking a shower or dressing up.
The "oblation run" of men wearing skimpy thongs caught some by surprise—because it happened so fast! And there was this one male model who deliberately poured water on his body to create a wild effect.
COSMO CENTERFOLDS. There’s no doubt that the 10 Centerfolds deserved their prized status this year.
Not only did they work hard to be physically fit for the occasion, but they’re famous in their respective fields to begin with.
Sam Adjani, 23, was first to show up on stage, followed by fellow model Vince Ferraren, 23.
Dance floor heartthrob Rayver Cruz was up next, looking hot with his chiseled body and sexy dance moves. He further titillated the screaming crowd when he, suggestively, placed a banana on his lap.
Likewise, certified Candy cutie Sam Concepcion traded his wholesome image for a naughty one last night.
Thanks to his rigid triathlon training, Matteo Guidicelli has developed a body fit for the show. He certainly had his fair share of admirers screaming for him during his turn on the runway.
JC de Vera and Aljur Abrenica also stunned the audience with their six-pack abs.
Most likely because of their current and very popular teleserye, My Husband’s Lover, Tom Rodriguez and Dennis Trillo got the loudest cheers from the fans.
Tom showed off some Capoeira stunts on the ramp, while Dennis was in a playful mood as he sprayed water on the audience using a water gun.
For the finale, Alden Richards entered the stage, looking like a sexy nerd in his laboratory outfit with matching reading glasses.
But then he pulled off a wild stunt: sexy ladies came up to him and stripped off his clothes, leaving only his boxer shorts.
He capped the night by pulling a lucky lady from the audience, whom he kissed and hugged on stage.
