“They have fulfilled all their promises.
Ayon kay Derek, “You know, I’m working hard. I’m working very hard.
“They’re making me work hard, and I want that.
“I don’t want to just sit here and get paid.”
“I want to give back to my major network,” sabi niya.
“One of the reasons why is because I wanted to help, I want them to grow, and I want them to reach what the other networks have reached.
“At the end of the day, pera, madali lang ‘yan.
“Madali lang kumita ng pera, but to have your name mean something, that’s hard.
“So, that’s my priority, I wanna give back.
“I want my name to mean something to the network, and I want to help it grow into something big.
“For me, ‘yon ang mas importante sa akin. At sinabi ko ‘yon in beginning of all the negotiations with TV5 and my past network [ABS-CBN].
“That’s my personality. I think I’m more of a man if I make a mark like that.”
NOT BOTHERED.
Paliwanag niya, “You know, I’m a Business major, you can’t have a network become successful overnight.
“You’re gonna take losses, big losses. It’s no joke to run a network."
Dagdag niya, “It makes me admire them more with the fact that, it’s true, they loss money, but they’re still there.
“Look at them, they’re still grinding away. They still trust the talents that they have.
“How can you not respect a management like that?
“They have losses but they’re still supporting us. So, our role is to give back to them.
“We have to be together to make it work.
“It’s not gonna be done overnight, it’s not gonna be done in a year or two.
“It’s gonna take a while.”
NOT HERE FOR EXPOSURE.
“That’s not naman what I’m looking for. I’m not looking for an exposure, I’m working.
“My job is to portray characters, to give back to my network.
“We’re trying to build our network.
“Yeah, there’s more exposure in other network, but that’s not what I’m doing.
“I’m not doing this to be famous. It’s my job. I’m here to entertain.”
“We’re hoping na we could grow our viewers.
“Like I said, at the end of the day, I feel better about myself if I did help this network grow.
“No offense to other network, they were once at this stage. They were once here.
“They built their way to the top. And we’re hoping that TV5 can build their way to the success of the other networks.”
Aniya, “If they still want me, yeah, most definitely.
“But that’s their choice if they’re happy with the service that I’ve provided, that’s something that we’re gonna have to talk about.”
Dagdag pa niya, “My priority is TV5.
“Respect is a big thing to me.
“I have to give back to them and I will give that to them.
“Like I said, earlier, they surpassed everything they’ve promised me.
"So, my priority is TV5.”
