FAP defends choice of Transit for 2014 Oscar Awards: “There was no politics at all in the selection process.”

FAP selection committee head Peque Gallaga on allegations of "political lobbying" in their choice of Transit as official Philippine entry for 2014 Academy Awards Best Foreign Language category: “There was no politics at all in the selection process. I find the insinuations insulting. I am speaking in behalf of the respected selection body comprised of Robert Arevalo, Gina Alajar, Elwood Perez, William Mayo, Joe Carreon, and Jess Navarro. We did

“There was no politics at all in the selection process. I find the insinuations insulting.

“I am speaking in behalf of the respected selection body comprised of Robert Arevalo, Gina Alajar, Elwood Perez, William Mayo, Joe Carreon, and Jess Navarro.

“We did our work professionally, responsibly and we sat down intelligently to discuss the merits of the potential entries Thy Womb, On the Job and Transit,” paliwanag ng batikang direktor.

“Okay lang to be very disappointed, pero walang pikunan. Who does he think he is, the savior of the industry?” balik ni Direk Peque.

Nagbigay din ng komento si FAP director-general Leo Martinez, na kasama sa cast ng On The Job, tungkol sa political-lobbying issue laban sa FAP.

“Hindi naman kapanipaniwala na may lobbying against On the Job.

“Senators were in fact endorsing Thy Womb,” sambit pa ni Martinez.
