@gegeestabillo: “’Yan ang tungkulin niya as an endorser, binayaran e. I like you pdin as an artist, kanya kanya nlng ng ibboto yan, hnd purket idolo nio na e ibboto nio na ang ibboto nia. Wag msyado gaya gaya. Hehe. #dapattama #votewisely.”

@paul_small22: “Boo...”

“RESPECT EACH OTHER’S CHOICES.” Makalipas ang tatlong araw, March 6, nagsimula nang ipagtanggol ni Tom si Carla sa comment section ng naturang post.

Sabi ni Tom: “@annebtafalla I feel like I just have to say something here to clear the record (or perhaps reiterate a common fact) that Carla, just like every Filipino in this world (you included) has a right to choose the leader they feel is deserving to lead this country to a brighter future.

“I understand that you two have differing views and that's perfectly fine, in fact, I too do not share the same political views as she does, but I can respect her right to choose as a Filipino citizen, and I respect the fact that whatever reasons she has to campaign for her candidate of choice, she is doing so without payment and is purely because she believes in the person just like I believe in the candidate of my own choice...

“I know you feel the same way about your candidate of choice din. It is ok to feel passionate about it because this is a very critical election, I believe.

“But don't you think it would benefit us more as a people to respect each other's choices and not condemn someone for their own beliefs.

“As people we have differing views and opinions...that's normal...we can share ideas, share our own beliefs but we can do so with respect and in a level-headed and rational manner.

“I am not trying to attack you or single you out by tagging you, as I am speaking from my heart to every Filipino who might come across this.

“I just wanted to address that although Carla and I have differing political views, we are able to still talk about it with respect and in a rational way and I can honestly say from our many talks that she is genuine in her beliefs and is not being paid for it.

“I implore my fellow Filipinos to exercise their right to choose their leader. To exercise your right to be informed, your right to speak about your beliefs, but let us never forget to respect each other in the process.

“It is better to share ideas and learn from each other than completely dismiss someone just because they do not share our beliefs. Sorry @carlaangeline for such a long post, I don't mean to raid your account. I just feel that this is long overdue. @chad_maristela @paul_small22 @gegeestabillo

HEALTHY DISCUSSION. Pero hindi pa rin nagpaawat ang ibang netizens sa pagpahayag ng kanilang opinyon.

Ayon kay @flowbelle: “No to Mar! Sorry, I have the right to say how I feel too!”

Sagot ni Tom: “@flowbelle yes you do...I was just humbly imploring that we should exercise said rights with respect and reason.

“Let's all have a healthy discussion of views with reasons instead of putdowns and blatant dismissions, no one will benefit from everyone just cupping their ears while shouting.”

Sabi naman ni @maricondecena: “@akosimangtomas wala rin nmng masama na she's promoting this candidate because she's paid for it at least tumutupad sya sa commitment!! Praktikal lang...and para din namn sa future niya yun...ok lng yun...nevertheless ang debate sa mga ganyan hindi maiiwasan may i know who's u'r candidate..??”

“Or maybe if god's will permits para future niyo yun #praktikalang...walang masama!!!!”

Sabi pa ng Kapuso actor: “@maricondecena i agree...kung binabayaran man ang isang tao to endorse or promote a candidate, eh karapatan din po nila yon.

“They are well within their rights and I respect and recognize those rights... ang pakay ko lang naman po ay iremind sana ang lahat ng mga kababayan natin na may mas maayos na pamamaraan ng pagdedebate o sa paglalaan man ng saloobin...

“At yun ay ang pagbibigay ng respeto. Not doing so would be dismissive of the issues at hand. And I will apologize kasi I'd like to keep my candidate of choice to myself na lang sana, especially since this is not my page, I will say na lang na I personally believe in constitutional reform (specifically for economic liberization) and I am partial to the parliamentary system as opposed to the presidential.”
