Jasmine Curtis Smith on "drunken, slapping incident" involving sister Anne Curtis: “Let’s hope it dies down.”

“I think it’s not my right to speak on the issue because hindi ako yung involved. I was not there also. Ayaw ko na ring palakihin pa... So, ayaw ko na lang makisawsaw pa,” Jasmine Curtis Smith says about the recent controversy involving her sister, Anne Curtis.

Bagamat malapit ang relasyon nilang magkapatid, ayon kay Jasmine, “With us, we’re not the type na laging, ‘Hoy, congrats!’

“Silent support kami e, like, posting sa social media or when we get home, ‘How was your day?’ nangangamusta.

“That’s when we find out about certain things.

“Siyempre, nalalaman na niya kasi we’re all very close—even our management.

“We have a history na, we have a personal relationship, so nalalaman niya na rin before I find out also.

“Tapos iko-congrats na niya ako. Sinasabi ko, ‘Ha? Hindi ko ‘yon alam.’

“So, we’re very ano talaga… hindi kami OA kapag nangangamusta.

“We’re just like, ‘Oh, congrats. How are you?’

“Then, okay na kami, and may sarili na kaming mundo.”

“Of course, it’s different.

“But of course, we can’t always have the same thing naman.

“We have different career paths din naman.

“I’m still trying to pave my own way din naman, and I think I’m doing it perfectly.”

SUPPORTING ANNE.

Sabi ng nakababatang kapatid ni Anne, “I’m always there to support her.

“Of course, I was there. I was comforting her at home.

“I stayed at home with her. I made sure I’m at home with her.

“Ayun, [those] are very small actions, but things that she will definitely appreciate.

“I know she did, kasi she’s very happy. She’s a very happy person.

"She’s very happy now.”

Sabi pa ni Jasmine nang kumustahin ng press si Anne sa kanya: “So obviously, you know, she’s still going to work, she’s showing up, and making sure she gives her best.

“Nothing has changed in terms of how she works and how she fights whatever happened and how it has affected her.

“You know, she’s a very professional person.

"So, whatever happens in her personal life, she makes sure that it doesn’t let it affect her work life.”

Paliwanag niya, “I think it’s not my right to speak on the issue because hindi ako yung involved. I was not there also.

“Ayaw ko na ring palakihin pa, it’s done, it’s a cheese out on her part.

“Everyone else has done their part on the issue.

"So, ayaw ko na lang makisawsaw pa.”

Sa darating na Pasko, kung may hihilingin si Jasmine para sa kanyang ate, sabi niya, “I guess, you know, let’s hope it dies down and people will still see the many acts of kindness that she has actually done.”
