Zanjoe Marudo says his two-year relationship with Bea Alonzo has grown deeper and more mature

Model-turned-actor Zanjoe Marudo says compassion is the one quality of Bea Alonzo that makes him love her more. He says this assures him that Bea will be a good wife when the time comes.

The breakup of several showbiz couples in 2013 has brought attention to the ongoing two-year relationship of Zanjoe Marudo and Bea Alonzo.

Last October, Bea and Zanjoe found themselves fending off rumors that they were cooling off.

Bea had said in an interview on October 23 that she and Zandro were seldom seen together for nearly two months, not because they were cooling off but because work had kept them apart.

In fact, she said, those times apart made them miss each other more.

Zanjoe spoke about his relationship with Bea in an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and two other entertainment reporters on the set of Annaliza, in Fairview, Quezon City, on December 13.

According to him, his relationship with Bea simply followed its course.

“Hindi rin kasi namin yun naplano o in-expect na tatagal or meron kaming set-up o plano para magtagal kami nang gano’n. Hindi, e," he explained.

Zanjoe believes that their relationship has matured over the past two years.

He said they seldom argue, having learned to be more patient with each other.

“Siguro dahil ayaw naming parehas na magkagalit.

“Ayoko nung feeling na galit. Siya rin. Kaya siguro gano’n yung nangyari.

“Ayaw namin nang nag-aaway kami.”

SECURE. Zanjoe also said he now feels more secure than ever in his relationship with Bea.

For him, acceptance is the key to a successful relationship.

COMPASSION. What Bea loves most about Zanjoe, as the actress said in a previous interview with PEP, is that he keeps it real.

In her words, “Hindi siya yung kagaya nung ibang tao na ‘I’ll show you the world.’”

For Zanjoe, what what makes him love Bea more is her compassion for her family.

And this, Zanjoe said, makes him a very lucky guy.
