Juan Direction members proud to be Pinoy; want to obtain dual citizenship

Juan Direction is composed of (from L-R) Brian Wilson, Charlie Sutcliffe, Daniel Marsh, Henry Edwards, and Michael McDonnell.

Sabi ni Henry, “We are very thankful to TV5 for making us part of this great sitcom.

“This is a whole new side to Juan Direction that we are definitely excited to share with the viewers.”

HOST TURNED ACTORS. How does it feel that from being hosts, they are now actors?

Sagot ni Henry, “Ako, sobrang excited ako, kasi noong nasa England ako, I grew up watching TV, watching Filipino channels.

“I have undergone acting workshops before, so I really like to push myself to the limits and see how far I can get.”

Dagdag naman ni Daniel, “This is our first sitcom ever, so we’re really excited.

“We’re up to the challenge and we’re ready to take whatever comes our way.”

Ayon kay Charlie, “Of course, we’re open to criticisms.

“You know, critics are the ones who’s gonna tell you what you’re doing wrong.

“And then also, we’re open to compliments if we’re doing right.

“You know, we need people to be honest with us, so as long as the criticisms are constructive and helpful to us, we are always open to that.”

Ngayong umaarte na sila sa telebisyon, ini-expect ba nila na makagawa rin ng pelikula in the future?

Sabi nina Brian at Michael, “Hopefully, we could make a movie. That’s one of our main goals.”

JOEY DE LEON. Ibinida rin ng grupo ang pakikipagtrabaho nila sa beteranong komedyante at TV host na si Joey sa One of the Boys.

Ayon kay Daniel, “Working with Mr. Joey de Leon has been a great experience.

“I mean, we know that he is such a legend in local showbiz already, but the atmosphere in the set has been surprisingly fun since our first day of taping, thanks to him.

“And, you know, we are actually learning a lot from Mr. Joey too—in delivering our lines, and in acting in general—and that is one more thing why we are really thankful for being part of One of the Boys.”

Sabi naman ni Brian, “It’s a big honor to be working with Joey de Leon.

“He’s someone who’s working in the industry for so long and he has achieved so much.

“Working with him is a learning experience at the same time, as we can learn from him as we’re working.

“We can see him and get amazed by how he deliver the punchlines.

“So, we can learn from that and be like that, hopefully, in the future.”

EULA CABALLERO.

Sagot ni Henry, “I can say she’s really a nice person and I can understand why everyone calls her TV5’s Princess of Drama, kasi she’s really skilled and she never forgets her lines, she’s really good.”

Dagdag pa ni Daniel, “She’s also a Cebuano like me, so she kinda have a connection with us.

“Her original place is in Guadalupe and I have a place in Guadalupe. So, we get to talk about where we live.

“She’s also very cool and easy to work with.”

HANDLING POPULARITY. Paano nila hina-handle ang kanilang pagsikat ngayon?

Ayon kay Michael, “Step by step. You gotta take it one step at a time.

“Kasi if you let it overtake you, you get big-headed, and you just gonna fall flat on your face right away.

“So, we’re just taking it step by step.”

PROUD TO BE PINOY.

Ani Daniel, “It’s a very important video for me to watch and I always have that.

“If not for her, I don’t think I would have such an amazing life.

“She’s the reason why I’m here, she’s the reason why I’m Filipino. She introduced me to the culture.

“And I love being Pinoy. I’m proud to be Pinoy.”
