Sabi niya sa PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), “That was my real problem then.
"When my dad and I moved here in the Philippines from Australia, I knew very little Tagalog.
"That’s why I had a very hard time adjusting to my studies here.
“Then came PBB Teen Clash. I thought that it would be cool to be on this show.
"I never really expected anything big that would happen to me while I was on this show.
“I just thank my lucky stars that I turned out to be the winner, despite of the fact that there were times that I really can’t understand a lot of what my housemates were talking about.
"But it was a great experience for me."
Nakapanayam ng PEP si James sa cast launch ng Diary Ng Panget: The Movie, sa The Library Metrowalk, noong February 20.
I WANT TO BE A SINGER.
“We wanted different things. They wanted me to act but I wanted to be serious with my music.
“From the start naman, yun ang gusto kong gawin—to sing and perform.
“But I guess they have other plans for me and I was not having that good relationship with them,” sabi ni James.
Sabi ni James, “That’s not true.
"I never had that kind of problem, kahit itanong pa nila sa iba.
“It’s more on work and what I really wanted to do.
"I was not just happy with what was happening then.
“I can say that I am much happier now with Viva as my manager.
“I’ve been with them for two years now and they’ve been supportive of my singing career.
“I came out with my self-titled album last year and it’s a dream come true for me.
“Music gives me more flexibility to express myself artistically.
“Ito yung matagal ko nang gustong gawin, and Viva Records helped me making it come true.”
“The song is about this guy who got his heart broken.
"He loves the girl so much that, even though it hurts, he’ll wish the girl well and hopes that the next guy she loves will treat her well.”
With You," "You Make My Body Move," "Game Changer," "Gone," and "Loving Arms."
ACTING.
Sabi ni James, “It’s a very exciting project and I am happy to be part of it.
“When they offered me the role and described to me, I found it interesting and I immediately had to read the novel just to familiarize myself with my character Cross and the rest of the characters, like si Chad [played by Andre Paras] and Lori [played by Yassi Pressman].
“They asked me one thing and that is to take up Tagalog lessons so that I can relate more to the story.
I’ve been taking lessons sa bahay.
"It took some time but I was able to understand a lot.
“Hindi nga lang fluent, but I know that I will get there soon.
“But with the help of my co-stars, I know na magagawa ko nang maayos ang pag-arte ko sa pelikula.”
