Nag-isyu na ang Fifth Division ng Sandiganbayan ng hold departure order (HDO) laban kay Senator Jinggoy Estrada at sa labintatlo pang akusado ng plunder charges kaugnay pa rin ng pork barrel scam.
Inilabas ang naturang kautusan ngayong araw, June 16.
Nakasaad dito na hindi na maaring lumabas ng bansa ang senador at iba pang nasa listahan ng HDO habang nililitis pa ang kaso.
Ayon sa court order na lumabas sa GMA News Online, "This court, in the exercise of its inherent power to use all means necessary to carry its orders into effect, more specifically to preserve and maintain the effectiveness of its jurisdiction over the case and the persons of the accused so as to render accused at all times amenable to its writ of processes hereby order the Commissioner of the Bureau of Immigration to hold the departure from the Philippines of the following..."
Bukod sa mambabatas, kabilang din sa nasa listahan ng hold departure order sina Pauline Labayen (former staff ni Senator Estrada), ang itinuturong utak sa pork barrel scam na si Janet Lim-Napoles, at ang tauhan nitong si John Reymund de Asis.
Ang iba pang nasa HDO ay ilang staff at officers ng Department of Budget Management sa pangunguna ni Undersecretary Mario Relampagos, kasama sina Rosario Nuñez, Lalaine Paule, at Marilou Bare.
Ganundin ang ilang staff at officers ng National Agribusiness Corporation na kinabibilangan ng presidente nitong si Allan Javellana, kasama sina Rhodora Mendoza; Maria Julie Villaralvo-Johnson; Victor Roman Cacal; Maria Ninez Guanizo, at Romulo Relevo.
Ang Fifth Division ng Sandiganbayan ang humahawak ng mga kasong graft at plunder nina Sen. Estrada at ng labintatlo pang akusado.
Ang kaso naman ni Senator Bong Revilla ay napunta sa First Division at ang kay Senator Juan Ponce Enrile ay napunta sa Third Division.
Noong nakaraang linggo, sa kanyang privilege speech sa Senado ay mariing binatikos ni Senator Estrada ang aniya’y hindi patas na pagsasampa ng kasong plunder laban sa kanya.
