Charee Pineda recalls JM de Guzman’s drug use; says JM apologized for causing problems on the set

Charee Pineda attended a reunion for stars and cast members of Angelito, her former show on ABS-CBN. The actress said that JM de Guzman asked for forgiveness for causing problems on the set. Charee recalled: "Nung gabi na yun, lahat niyayakap niya. Sinasabi niya, ’I’m really sorry kung nakapag-cause ako ng hassle or kahit anong problema sa past.’"

Charee Pineda recalls the dark days JM de Guzman went through while he was still struggling with his drug addiction.

When asked if she was aware that JM was using illegal drugs at that time, the Kapuso actress admitted: "Yes, alam ko.

What were the changes she observed in JM at that time?

JM and Charee previously worked with each other on Angelito: Ang Batang Ama and its sequel Angelito: Ang Bagong Yugto that both aired on ABS-CBN.

THE REUNION. Several months ago, Charee had the chance to reconnect with JM when they both attended a reunion organized by the former staff members of their show.

Did she also witness how JM caused problems on the set?

"Yes, kasi iisang show lang kami," revealed Charee.

Does that mean that they have no hard feelings regarding what happened in the past?

"Wala na," she said with a smile.

The former ABS-CBN actress also narrated that JM personally asked for forgiveness from those whom he may have hurt in the past.

The 24-year-old actress, who is now a contract artist of GMA Network, is delighted to know that there are still fans who continue to support her tandem with JM.

ON PORTRAYING A GRO. For her next movie project, Charee agreed to accept the role of a GRO who is a single mother.

She will be part of the action film Tupang Ligaw to be directed by renowned komiks writer Rod Santiago. He is behind popular komiks such as Agua Bendita, Buhawi Jack, and Bad Boy, which launched to fame then unknown Robin Padilla.

How daring will she be in Tupang Ligaw?

How come she agreed to portray a GRO in this movie but she turned down the role of a "third wife" in the Joel Lamangan film Kamkam?

The councilor of Valenzuela City also pointed out that her government position also hindered her from accepting the sensual role that eventually went to Jackie Rice.

"I had to decide talaga kung magpu-push through ako o hindi."
