Boy Abunda and Kris Aquino criticize high-end condo’s memo about use of elevator for household employees

The Icon Residences, The Fort.

BOY SAID, KRIS SAID.

It’s a private property. They can say that na we make our own rules because amin ito. Ito yung guidelines namin.

“So, ang solusyon diyan is hindi naman tayo bibili dito. Hindi tayo titira diyan.”

Dagdag pa ng tinaguriang King of Talk, “Ako naman, kaya medyo nayayabangan ako dun sa statement, dahil nung sinabi niya, ‘This is not for the world,’ ito’y para lamang sa amin sa Icon Residences.

“But Miss Garrido, Icon Residences belongs to the world. You’re not an isolated place.

“’Tsaka hindi maganda yung mensahe na parang porke’t private kunwari ang residences na ‘yan ay you can do what you want, ’di ba?

Dagdag pa ni Kris, “What I eat is also what everybody in my household eats.

"When we travel, our yayas travel with us and where we sit is where they sit.

“When you treat everybody as equal, God blesses you more.

“’Pag meron kang minamata, dun ka mamatahin, ’di ba?

"’Pag nang-aapi ka ng kapwa mo, may balik ‘yan, e."

SISTER TO THE RESCUE.

“Last night, I watched in horror as Boy Abunda and Kris Aquino dragged my sister Kathy Garrido’s name through muck and mire because of a memo she sent requesting unit owners of the Icon Residences condominium to advise their household employees to strictly use the service elevator only.

"The team of Aquino and Abunda castigated my sister as if she had committed murder for sending out a memo implementing a policy that is implemented in condominiums, hotels, hospitals etc."

“I don’t see construction workers riding the elevator in One Roxas or Essensa when I go there.

"A service elevator is no different from a guest or passenger elevator. It’s there so that traffic and security are better managed. In fact, in hotels, the cleaners to GM himself use the service elevator.”

Paliwanag pa ni Aguado, “A well-dressed couple in americana and evening clothes will be annoyed if a construction worker hauls his paints and brushes with matching ladder into the elevator with them, right? And how would you feel if you rode a hospital elevator and they wheel a corpse in?”

“I know Ms. Aquino and Mr. Abunda were doing this to gain points with the viewing public, but their lack of working knowledge might just backfire on them.

“Also, they persecuted one of the nicest people on earth, and I’m saying this not just because she’s my sister. A lot of people have been calling and texting me saying that they misjudged a truly fine lady. I’ve never even heard her raise her voice at any of our household employees, and she’s always generous with her praise and thank you’s as well.

"She was just doing her job as a property manager by sending out that memo."

“These policies and procedures are implemented by the condo board and management, not one person alone.”

“I will send it to Aquino and Abunda so that they can read out the names of these condos on their show to be fair naman to Icon Residences and Kathy as well who has been called an ignoramus among other things.

“Maybe it’s a ’trabaho lang’ thing for the comic duo, but I hope they understand that Kat was doing her job as well. I haven’t spoken to her yet since this happened, but I know that she’s a strong Christian who won’t even bother respond to all this (that’s why I’m responding for her), but rather, she will leave things up to the Lord.J”

Tinapos ni Aguado ang kanyang mensahe sa pamamagitan ng pagdudugtong ng isang Bible passage, mula sa Isaiah 54:17: "No weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed and you shall refute every tongue that rises against you in judgement. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their vindication is from me declares the Lord."
