Derek Ramsay clarifies rumor that he’s going to return to ABS-CBN

Derek Ramsay on possibility of working with ABS-CBN again: "To work with Channel 2 again, let’s say a movie or anything like that or Star Cinema, I’ve always been open. I love to work in Star Cinema. I had great projects with them. We have a successful partnership doing movies together. But, I think, that’s coming out because nga pa-expire na ang contract sa TV5."

“I don’t know,” nakangiti niyang sagot.

“Gusto ko na lang isipin na it’s a business decision that’s why they made those decision, because of business.

“And that’s the way I want to look at it.

“We spent six years in ABS-CBN and I gave a lot of credit to them that’s why I’m Derek Ramsay.

“Ipinares nila ako kay Judy Ann [Santos]. Tinanggap ako ni Judy Ann.

“They gave me project, left and right.

“But with that said, may mga bagay na nangyari na ayokong ilabas.

“And that’s why I’m with TV5. With TV5, they have been good to me.

“My contract is going to an end but we’re going on negotiation… nothing’s on paper yet.”

QUITTING SHOWBIZ.

Sagot ni Derek, “TV5 is my priority.

“I have to give them that respect because they have been good to me. More than good.

“If they said, ‘I don’t need your services anymore,’ then I’ll respect them.

“And that’s when I’ll go and see where my career is going to—either it’s still in showbiz or if it’s something else.

“Sabi ko nga sa inyo, it’s in the back of my head if I’ll be active in showbiz as I am now, or am I going to quit showbiz completely.”

Pag-amin niya, “It’s in the back of my head, yeah.

“I’m looking ahead now. Not like before na live one day at a time. Live each day.

“I still have that mentality, but now, it’s a little bit guided by thinking about the future and where my life is going to go.

“So, to work with Channel 2 again, let’s say a movie or anything like that or Star Cinema, I’ve always been open.

“I love to work in Star Cinema. I had great projects with them.

“We have a successful partnership doing movies together.

“But, I think, that’s coming out because nga pa-expire na ang contract sa TV5.”

MOVIES WITH REGAL.

“Well, we’ve been talking about movie with Lovi and may Marian [Rivera].

“Pero Marian is getting married and all that, I’m sure na mamu-move yun.

“Pero I signed with them, I think, two movies.”
