Tom Taus denies persistent rumor that sister Antoinette has a love child: “Ang tagal na nun, e.”

Tom Taus on the never-ending rumor that his sister Antoinette has a love child: “She probably said it over fifty times already. Pero walang anak, ’cause you know by this time, if the rumor were true, malaki na yung bata, ’di ba?

“I am so proud sa aming show na ito, I tell everybody how much I hope that there will be a season 2.

“‘Cause it just started, and right now, ngayon pa lang, parang nag-e-enjoy and lumalaki na rin ang following of that culture—the street dance culture,” pahayag niya nang makapanayam ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) kamakailan sa TV5 Studio sa Novaliches, Quezon City.

Anong masasabi niya kay Jasmine bilang host ng kanilang show?

Saad niya, “You know, I tell her all the time, ‘I’m so lucky to have been paired with you.’ Because, you know, she’s very professional.

“Aside from being really good at hosting, napu-push niya ako to be better as a host; she’s a lot of fun to be with, too.”

“I didn’t think they would be this good.

“I’ve seen a lot of good dancers...I gotta say they definitely pushed it to the level they’re supposed to, and even more. I’m really proud of Filipinos for that.

“But to be at their level in terms of performance, I think it’s really something special,” pagmamalaki niya.

PROUD PINOY.

Kuwento ni Tom, “Alam mo kahit sa America when I was living there, the dancers that stood out, a lot of them were Filipinos.

“Talagang I noticed and that makes me kinda proud.

“Maraming Filipino doon na sobrang cool, they have their own style, they have their own movement and that’s why living there and experiencing it, mas lalong proud ako to be Filipino,” nakangiting saad pa ni Tom.

WISHES FOR SERIOUS ACTING ROLES. Hindi ba niya na-miss ang acting?

Sabi niya, “Hindi masyado, e. It’s because I feel like I went through it during my childhood, and then there was something in me na I just wanna try something different.

"I wanted to do something else, experience life more, you know, try other things.

“So hindi naman sa ayaw kong mag-acting, but I’m so happy with what I'm doing now and I’m enjoying it so much. I’m sure I would enjoy acting again, if the right role comes along.

“Actually, I want to do something very heavy and dramatic.

“A lot of my movies before were drama, yung mga may iyakan talaga e,” nakatawang saad ni Tom.

QUASHES PERSISTENT RUMOR.

“Of course, I have no problem commenting about that because it’s something that has been talked about for a long time already.

“You know, every time we see somebody, they say anak ni ganito, anak ni ganyan.

“But, walang anak. I mean, she probably said it over fifty times already, my sister has. Pero walang anak, 'cause you know by this time, if the rumor were true, lumaki na yung bata, 'di ba?

“So yeah, no kids! Just me and her, ako lang iyong anak ni Antoinette, ako lang!” nakatawang banggit pa niya.

Pagsang-ayon niya, “Yeah, I mean, our family and our friends, you know, whenever they hear it talaga, it’s so funny if somebody just mentions it.

“I mean, you know, you can’t really do anything about it at saka hindi ka naman magagalit because it’s just normal for people to say things, you know.”

Aniya, “I’m not sure, pero alam mo, ang tagal na nun, e. I think even before we left, mayroon ng tsismis na ganoon, e. So it’s like fifteen years ago e, you know?”
