Mariel Rodriguez on getting pregnant again after miscarriage: "Hindi ako nagwo-worry. Darating din yun."

Mariel Rodriguez on baby plans: “Meron kasi akong app to tell me kung kailan ako nag-o-ovulate. So, normally, iniiwasan namin yun [fertile days] ’pag ganun. Pero ngayon, wala, hindi na ine-effort.”

More than two months after her miscarriage, Mariel Rodriguez assured that she has already overcome that "traumatizing" experience by keeping herself busy with hosting stints on TV5.

“I'm good. Minsan siyempre meron pa ring ano [pain].

“[Pero] ito yung time na masasabi natin na it's good to be busy,” she said. (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and other entertainment reporters caught up with Mariel at the presscon of Happy Truck Ng Bayan, held at Max's Restaurant, Quezon City, Wednesday night, May 27.

Happy Truck Ng Bayan is a Sunday variety program that is slated to start airing on June 14 from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M.

Asked if she's ready to get pregnant again, the 30-year-old TV personality maintained that she and husband Robin Padilla are not in a rush to have a baby for now.

“Okay naman. Pero right now, we're not yet trying again,” she simply stated.

But to set the record straight, Mariel explained that it doesn't necessarily mean she's practicing birth control to delay baby plans.

“Ah, hindi naman [ako nagpa-practice ng birth control]. Hindi lang nag-e-effort.

“Actually, it was only one month lang that I said I wanted to get pregnant.

“Meron kasi akong app to tell me kung kailan ako nag-o-ovulate.

“So, normally, iniiwasan namin yun [fertile days] pag ano, pag ganun.

“Pero ngayon, wala, hindi na ine-effort.”

During the early part of their marriage, Robin had been quite vocal about wanting to delay baby plans with Mariel to enjoy their married life first.

But Mariel insists that Robin had been very supportive when she decided that she's ready to have a baby a few months ago.

“Ang dami nang anak ni Robin, so matagal na siyang ready, 'di ba?

“Of course [he wants to have a baby of our own].

“It was always naman [a question of] when I was ready.”

Mariel, for her part, admitted that there are times when she feels envious of Happy Wife, Happy Life co-hosts Danica Sotto and Cheska Garcia who both make motherhood seem like a breeze.

“Siyempre meron [longing for a baby], lalo na kasama ko mga mommies, tapos pine-play ko mga anak nila.

“Siyempre minsan hindi mawawala yung parang, 'Aww... ang sarap.'

"Nung nag-Hong Kong kami kasama mga anak nila, parang mas masaya."

But for now, Mariel refuses to worry about something that she has no control of.

“Hindi ako masyado nagwo-worry. Hindi ko masyado iniisip.

“Darating din yun," she beamed.
